Light in the Dark

Katelyn POV

I groaned and tried to open my eyes. Everything hurt and I couldn't move.  I wanted to wake up but my eyelids were so heavy... "Katelyn? Katelyn are you there?" The voice sounded familiar but I couldn't quite place it. I tried to open my eyes again but all I saw was a blinding light and the silhouettes of two people before my eyes closed again. I groaned again not having the ability to talk right now. In the background I could hear a faint. -Beep....Beep.....Beep- I realized it was a heartbeat. Was it...mine? I tried to remember what happened. But my memory was hazy. The last thing I can remember clearly was fire...Lucinda! The memory's started flooding back. I grit my teeth with just ended up with me wincing in pain. And wincing caused pain everywhere. I moaned. Maybe being unconscious was better for me. I felt someone put my hand in their hand. The hold was there but not tight enough to hurt. Only one person would think about how it would hurt if they squeezed my hand. "J-Jeffery...?" I mumbled. I wasn't sure if anyone could understand me but then I herd his voice. "I'm right here Katelyn."  It was soft, comforting, kind. I managed a small smile. "Hey Katelyn I-" He was cut off by Travis's voice. "Katelyn! please wake up! please..." I could tell he was about to cry. I managed to open my eyes but my eyesight was blurry. "Katelyn!" Travis yelled hugging me. I let out a small yelp as pain shot through my body. Jeffery pulled Travis away and glared at him. "She got shot by fire, do you think a hug is the best idea?" Travis sighed. I smiled softly before falling back asleep.

Aphmau POV

I woke up in a white room with a bright light shining in my eyes. I tried to block the light with my hand but as soon as I moved my arm a sharp pain came from my shoulder. I hissed, trying not to scream. "Aph!" I opened my eyes again to see Aaron. His head was blocking out the light. I smiled. He let out a sigh of relief before carefully leaning down to give me a small kiss. "What happened?" I mumbled trying to make the words sound right. He hesitated but replied. "You got stabbed." I was shocked. Stabbed? He must have seen the shock on my face. "You don't remember?" He asked. I shook my head. He sighed. "Maybe it's for the best." I nodded slowly. I wanted to remember,  wanted to know. But I understood that there was time for explaining later. The door swung open and both Aaron and I turned to see Kawaii~Chan at the doorway. "Aphmau~Senpai!" Kawaii~Chan yelled running over. I tried to sit up but whenever I put weight on my right arm a sharp pain came from my shoulder. Aaron understood what I was doing helping me up. I could tell he was trying his best not to make it hurt. I smiled and whispered a thank you. He smiled back and kissed my cheek before turning to Kawaii~Chan. "Where are the others?" He asked. Kawaii~Chan's tail swished before she started talking. "Well, we were all going to get food for everyone but then Zane~Kun got distracted by the ponies in the gift shop." I noticed that Kawaii~Chan had started blushing slightly when she mentioned Zane. "Garroth~Kun, Dante~Kun, and Kawaii~Chan went on ahead before Kawaii~Chan noticed the fish tank..." She stopped and grabbed her tail. A nervous smile was on her face and I rolled my eyes. "Well let's just say Kawaii~Chan got....distracted before she came back here." She finished. Aaron sighed "So Garroth and Dante are probably still getting food?" He asked and Kawaii~Chan nodded. "Where are Katelyn and Travis?" I asked. Aaron and Kawaii~Chan stared and me and then glanced at each other.  "Katelyn~Sama and Travis~Kun are...together..." Kawaii~Chan told me. I could tell there was something they both were hiding. "Will they come?" I asked trying to see if she would snap and tell me. I had no chance at getting Aaron to talk. "Um...Travis~Kun might but Katelyn~Sama..can't." I asked why and that caused Kawaii~Chan to look to the floor. "She um...." Kawaii~Chan started before a thought came into my head. I had been stabbed, what if Katelyn had as well? And they were not telling me because they didn't want me to worry. I sighed and shook my head before laying back down. "I'm going to get some sleep." I told them before I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
