Make Me Breathe

Chapter 3

We get back from Ralfz with a bulk of food.

We put it all away and by the time we're done, its 4:00.

"I better get home, Ben will be home soon." Korri hugs me and heads towards the door.

"Bye Korri" I say

I sit and watch TV for another hour or two when I hear the garage open, Mason must be home.

"Good evening Bethy Bear!" He calls

"Hi Mas" I walk into the kitchen

"How are you?" he asks

"I'm good. Been having weird cravings though..." I have been, the pizza was good, then I wanted breadsticks and then spaghetti!

"Maybe you're pregnant." Mason pats my stomach.

"Stop it."

"What?"

"You don't joke about that. You know what we've been through with all that."

He gets dressed into casual clothes and comes back to the kitchen.

"But it is a possibility." he winks at me, and I know what he's implying.

"No it's- okay maybe it is but still..."

"Here" Mason hands me two pregnancy test boxes.

"What the hell?"

"I, I've always wanted a kid. And, when you said you had cravings..."

"Just because I have cravings doesnt automatically make me pregnant mason!" I yell

He looks really depressed, what's going on with him....?
