Chapter 24

"Wake up Kor!" I yell from the kitchen

"Ugh" She walks in

"Hey, I got a phonecall from the po po!" I say trying to sound happy

"What'd they say?" She asks getting a glass of water

"Ladies," Mason walks in, "How are you?" He asks

"Horrible." Korri says walking back into the living room.

"Okay, don't look to happy..." He turns to me, "Hi beautiful." He kisses my cheek

"Hi Mas" I follow Korri into the living room

"They said they found his car at a pharmacy. But he never came out. So..."

"Great. Well, I'm gonna head home, ya know, empty house attracts the...uh...i don't know where I was going with that..." She says

"They'll find him." I rub her shoulder

"I hope so, and when they do i'll-" There's a knock on the door.

"I got it!" Mason yells from the kitchen

"What the hell do you want?!" Mason says a little too loud...

Korri and I both run to the front door, "...Kick his ass" She finishes when she sees him.

"Korri!" He pushes Mason out of the way and kisses her sloppely.

"Get off me! We're done!" She yells pushing him off

"Whoa whoa what?!" He yells

"Man, calm down, are you drunk?" Mason says taking hold

"No!" Yea, he's drunk.

Mason shuts the door in his face and locks it.

"Korri?" he asks

"What?"

"If you hate him so much, why did you send the police after him?"

"I need money." She says and walks away
