Chapter 66

I grab a bananna and get in my car and go for a drive.

When I open the door I see Mason sitting, leaning against the wall. I hate seeing him like this. His gaze meets mine.

"Where were you?" He spoke

"I went for a drive."

He looks at my jaw. It's now black and blue, tears brim his eyes and he stands up.

"I can't beilive I did that to you."

I look him in the eyes, those green eyes.

"I can't either." I whisper

"I'm so sorry"

He hugs me and I hug back.

I hear Talia coughing, hard, not normally. I run into her room and life her up and pay her back. She keeps coughing her face red.

"Mason! call anbulence!" I yell

"Is she-"

"GET ONE!" I yell

"Was there anything near that Shd could choke on?" a nurse asks us

"No. Im positive" I say

"We're going to run an MRI on her, and we'll get back to you tomorrow."

"You mean you're putting her in the ICU...?" Mason says

"She'll be in good hands..." the nurse assures.

When we get home Mason walks over to the couch. His head in his hands.

"You've been a doing a damn good job." I say sitting next to him rubbing his back.

"With what?" He asks

"Everything. Youre being so strong."

He breathes heavily.

"Thanks" He gets up and goes to bed. Leaving me there.

"Why is our life so messed up?" I say to myself

I get up and see Korri.
