A/N:
Sorry this took me a while longer than usual, I've been busy! Lots of chat in this but enjoy nonetheless!

Chloe entered the cafe earlier than expected, it turned out that traffic wasn't as bad as she had expected. She took a seat before shooting a quick text to Ashley telling her she had a table and was waiting. She ordered two coffee's, remembering Ashley's order from their last coffee and sighed, deciding to simply scroll through her phone to take the time up.

"What's got you so engrossed," a woman's voice spoke up from opposite the redhead, causing her to jump slightly, looking up. She slapped Ashley on her arm and scowled at her,
"Learn to walk harder or, or knock or something!" Chloe smiled, pulling Ashley up to hug her enthusiastically, "I've missed you Ash,"
"You too Chlo," Ashley smiled, the pair sat down again, "thanks for the coffee, you remembered,"
"Course I did."

The pair chatted mindlessly for a while and ordered some lunch. Chloe took time to take in the view of her long 'lost' best friend, she looked well. Her chestnut curls hung around her shoulders and her brown eyes were soft and warm when she smiled. The small crinkles surrounded them when she laughed and her shoulders bounced joyfully as they reminisced about their times together in college.
"So, what's new with you," Chloe smiled, enjoying a bite of her sandwich as she raised an eyebrow.
"Well, not much new I guess, Canada is still amazing, mum and dad are good as well as Josh, you should see how mad he gets when we lose an important game of hockey," Ashley laughed, remembering how her brother had slammed his fists against the glass in anger when the buzzer went at their last game. Chloe just chuckled.
"And any men??" She joked.
"Me? Men? You must be joking. Nah but there have been dates, second, even third but it just hasn't panned out. No big deal, I'm here, I'm living," the brunette joked.
"Bless little Ashley,"
"Shut up! Now, let's try you. How's Beca? Now you say where the hell is the girl!" Ashley chuckled.
"She wanted to give us time to catch up," Chloe shrugged.
"What a gentleman." Ashley laughed, "but seriously what's she like Chlo? You have my permission to gush,"
"If you insist," Chloe winked, "she's awesome Ash. She acts all badass at work and that but underneath she's such a softy, the kids love her and she's super talented. She does actually act all gentlemanly around me and treats me amazingly, I mean she even bought a bloody holiday for us and Urgh it was so nice to just get away from it all and spend some time together. Obviously it helps that she's hot as fuck," Chloe smiled broadly.
"Sounds like a catch, I'm happy for you two Chlo," Ashley smiled giving Chloe's hand a quick squeeze from across the table.
The rest of the time the couple spent together was spent in light conversation about anything that came to mind.

"So when do I get to meet this badass Beca Mithell then?" Ashley piped up.
"Give me a second," Chloe winked and she pulled her phone from her pocket and pulled up her thread with Beca, grinning from ear to ear as she typed out her text, eyeing Ashley as the pair leant their head over the redheads phone as she typed.

Me: Beeeecaaaa!
Beca: oh dear, what d'ya want ;)
Me: oh you know me too well ;) sooo, me and Ash have caught up and I was just wondering if you were busy y'know
Beca: as it happens I'm not, care to explain why you're asking?
Me: oh I think you know why Mitchell, my house in 15 minutes, come prepared!!!
Beca: I shall never be prepared for a death stare from your best friend, maybe she should come prepared for mine ;)
Me: maybe you could do it face off style, see you soon ;) xox
Beca: bye weirdo! xx

Chloe grinned as she and Ashley fell into fits of giggles and soon left the cafe to hop in Chloe's car to take the short drive to Chloe's place. They arrived there to see Beca's car parked in front of Chloe's drive, the brunette sat with her feet up on the dashboard, eyes closed and head bobbing up and down lightly. Chloe got out of the car and laughed at the scene, she strolled to the window and lightly tapped on it, startling the brunette who's eyes softened upon landing on the face of the redhead. She clambered out of the car and stuck her tongue out at Chloe but then smiled gently and kissed her lightly, the pair walked to the door where a slightly taller brunette was stood awkwardly. The pair locked eye contact and gave a brief smile, Ashley offered her hand and Beca shook it, nodding her head and mumbling her name as a proper introduction before Chloe just laughed and brushed past the pair, unlocking the door and shaking her head lightly with a smile as she led the two in, leaving the pair to go to the kitchen.
"Sweet place, better than I remember it," Ashley grinned as she let her eyes brush over the rooms, her eyes drawn to a few pictures dotted about, one of their group of friends from college at graduation. A small photo frame was positioned on a table with a lamp, it was a photo of Beca and Chloe, the pair gazing into eachothers eyes as Chloe's grin stretched to her ears and Beca's lips had upturned into a light smile. The picture had most probably been snapped by a work colleague when at the school, the pair looked completely in love and Ashley couldn't help but smile.
"Aubrey took it," Beca interjected, following the other brunettes gaze to the picture and gently smiling at her. She knew it would be a big deal to Chloe if she kept her cool and not get nervous so she tried to made a good impression.
"It's a really nice photo," Ashley smiled in return and Beca simply nodded her head, looking over to Chloe who was bustling around the kitchen trying to make coffee.
"You love her, yeah?" Ashley asked.
"More than anyone else,"
"Good, I hate to do the whole cliché speech and all but it is my duty," she laughed lightly, "Chloe's a good person, often too good, she puts herself out there and just hopes she doesn't get hurt, so when she does... it's major. I can tell she trusts you and loves you and I see how her face lights up when she talks about you or to you, I'm a bit envious to be honest. But if I do get a call at any point saying you broke her heart or hurt her, trust me you'll get hell Mitchell," Ashley smirked but rested her hand on the smaller woman's shoulder and squeezed lightly.
"I wouldn't expect anything less Ashley. But honestly, I can't say that our relationship will be perfect because we both know that none is. But I want you to know that I will never hurt Chloe intentionally, I have trouble with showing emotions but she bring out a totally different side to me, a good one. I love her so much and every day I find something different I love about her, I hope I never have to hear hell from you," Beca smiled.
"Hug it out,"
"Sure," Beca laughed, Ashley smiled as she pulled Beca in for a quick hug, "nice to formally meet you Beca,"
"Likewise," Beca replied when they pulled away.

The remaining night was spent watching movies and eating pizza, Chloe was glad that Beca and Ashley has bonded so easily and were even sharing some common banter between them. Both Beca and Ashley were happy with the interactions they shared and there was no awkwardness.
Ashley eventually left the pair, with a promise to meet them again during the week, she was set to stay for a month then she had to go back to Canada. Both girls bid her farewell then collapsed onto the coach with a sigh.
