The next morning, I woke up to see that Becky was not in bed as usual. "Becky?" I called out. I didn't hear anything so I headed downstairs. She was standing at the glass patio door wearing just her robe, sipping her coffee. "What are you doing up so early?"
"Just couldn't sleep." She said.
"Worried about Richard?" I asked.
"A little. What are we going to do if he gets out?"
"Then we'll deal with it." I told her. "But I'm not going to let him ruin our lives because of his being an ass." As I told her this my hands started roaming over her front, under the fabric, ending up massaging her breasts. She moaned and turned around in my arms.
"Why don't we go back to bed and have some fun?" She suggested. After our 'fun', we showered and got ready for school. When we arrived, no one was there yet so we went to her class. While we were waiting for the other students to arrive, her phone rang. When she answered, she got nervous. After a moment, her face paled. I started to get real worried. "I understand, detective. Thank you."
"Becky, what is it?"
"It's Richard. They were transferring him to another prison and he somehow escaped. The detective said they questioned his cell mate and was told that he mentioned something about getting even." As she said this, I could tell that she was starting to shake.
"Come on. We need to talk to Mr. Jones. He needs to know." As I was walking her to the office, Sam and Tommy came up.
"What's wrong?" Sam asked. I asked them to follow us to the office. When we knocked on his door, Mr. Jones opened up and took one look at Becky.
"What's going on?"
"Richard escaped this morning." I told them.
"Shit." Tommy replied.
"The detective also told her that his cell mate said something about getting even."
"I think, under the circumstances, that it would be better to take her home." Mr. Jones told us. I just nodded and led her out to my car. Sam and Tommy agreed to come over after school, so they could get some of the other students to keep an eye out for him. As I pulled up into the driveway at home Jane pulled up behind us.
"Jason, is it true. Did that punk get out?" She asked.
"Yeah, we just heard a few minutes ago." I told her. "Sam called you?"
"Yeah. She told that you were coming home, so I figured I'd come and see if I could help."
"Good. Lets get inside." When we walked into the house, we saw that the living room was devastated. The couches were flipped, cabinets were overturned. We made our way to the kitchen and called the police. As the police walked in, they saw the damage for themselves. They took pictures and dusted the surfaces. As the crime scene people were leaving, one of the detectives came over to us. When he came close, I started to recognize him.
"Jason? I thought I recognized this address." He said. "Mrs. Jackson, what are you doing here?"
"Mr. John, this is my wife, Becky." His eyes grew wide.
"You're married to your teacher?" He asked. "How did that happen?"
"We got married over the summer break when she had just finished her degree."
"Wow." He said. "Okay then, getting back to the matter at hand. Do you have anyplace that you could stay until we catch him?"
"My parents have a place just outside of town. No one but us knows where it is." Becky told him."
"I think it would be better to stay there for a while." He said. "And do not tell anyone. Keep this as your physical address, as for as anyone would know." We agreed and he went back into the house. Becky and I went back into the car and asked Jane to follow us. After about a twenty minute drive, we arrived at here parents old home. Jane followed us inside and I called Becky's parents.
"Hey, baby you feeling better?" I asked.
"A little. How did it go with mom and dad?"
"Fair, I guess. They told me we could stay here as long as we needed. And to call them if we need anything."
"What are we going to do now?" She asked.
"For now we just wait until they catch him." I told her. "But I'll also have to talk to Mr Jones about missing a few days." Becky just nodded.
"Jason, I'm going to go I left Linda with my neighbor."
"Sure, thanks Jane."
"No problem. Want me to tell Sam?"
"Yeah. Let her bring Linda out here after school." Jane headed home. A few hours later, me phone rang. "Hello?"
"Jason, is everybody okay? Jane told me what happened at your house." Tommy asked.
"We're okay. We're just a little shaken up."
"Look, I was thinking that it might be a good idea to have a couple of guns with you there, in case he finds you."
"That might be a good idea. But, were would we get them from?"
"I can ask Jamie if we could borrow a couple of hers."
"Okay. Let me know what she says." About thirty minutes later, he calls again.
"She let us grab a couple of guns with a couple of magazines each." He told me. "She said if we need more or need backup, to call her and she'll come running."
"Thanks Tommy. I'll see you guys when you get here." As I hung up, Becky came down the stairs having just changed clothes. "Becky." I groaned. "Do you have to tease me right now?"
She just continued coming down the stairs in her tight pjs."And how I teasing you, Hun?" She asked.
"It makes me think of the last time you wore those." I told her. "If I remember right, you weren't wearing them long."
