Chapter 39 - Flashback: At The River

Georgia's POV

After he left the room, I bursted into tears. I sure hope he didn't see me crying.

"How could he say he didn't care? "I asked myself silently.

I finished eating then as I sat up digesting I continued talking to myself.

"I sure hope Jake is okay.

I really want to meet him,

so bad I'm just not in the lively mood I was before he left.

*Flashback*
"Penny come on! If we don't hurry,we're going to miss Blair and Kyle,"Jake explained standing at the entrance of the front door with his camping gear strapped to his back, waiting for me.

"I'm coming,"I smiled wrestling with my clothes,trying to push them in the bag.

I was in my bedroom. "You want help? "He asked standing at the door looking at me coolly.

"Yep, "I said getting fed up. I moved out and let him have his way.

"Gee Penny you sure have plenty clothes to last you for a week.

We're just going to camp for two nights,"he explained simply tucking the clothes in and zipping the bag.

"I know but accidents can happen,"I explained.

"On your monthlies or something? "He questioned. "It's suppose to come this week, not sure when though but I'm prepared,"I smiled.

"Okay cool, "he said then made a slight grin on his face.

"Why you grinning?"I asked smiling. "Your hair,it needs a little fixing,"he said getting the brush.

"I totally forgot about it. With my brother gone off to town for a week doing important work

and me having to do housekeeping,I hardly have time for myself,"I mumbled.

"That's why we're going camping to ease the stress,"he said sitting on the bed.

"I guess, I'm really greatful. Thanks a big lot and also tell the others,"I said happily.

"Sure and it's no prob.Afterall,you're my best friend.

I couldn't go without you being here,stuck at home bored, "he said then I said astonishingly,

"Aw you're so sweet!" He widened his legs some more then patted it.

I sat down on the ground between them then he began brushing my hair.

It was caught in a ponytail.

He gently loosened the ribbon,I could feel his soft fingertips massaging my scalp.

It felt good and relaxing.

He then allowed my hair to hang freely.

"Jake why aren't you catching it into one?"I asked.

"I like it that way.You look so pretty,"he smiled.

"If you say so, "I smiled too then soon we headed out for camp.

We drove in Blair's boyfriend's van in the back with Jake while they were seated in the front.

I enjoyed the beautiful sight and the cool breeze in my face as Kyle started the van. Soon we reached and set out our tents and other stuffs.

"Okay guys let's enjoy ourselves!"Kyle said pulling his shirt off.

"Darn it's hot out here, "Jake complained.

"Exactly,that's why I took my shirt off. We're going to a river not more than a mile from here.

"Cool! "I excited. We walked and walked and he was right.

There was a river not too far from where we were.

"Let's partaaay!" Blair excited snapping on the music from her speakers which she bought last month.

She pulled out four bottles of beer from her bag and gave us.

"Thanks but I'mma save mine for later, "Jake said handing her back it. "Sure no prob,"she smiled snapping off the lid of hers and pinning it to her head.

When she reached half way, she stopped and excited, "Boy that was good."

Kyle drank his then everyone started stripping before me. Jake noticed I wasn't then said resting his hands on my shoulders.

"Why not let me see what's under that beautiful clothes?" I blushed a bit

then slipped off my top and my bottom,leaving my undergarments.

I walked to the river and sat by the bank.

He went in and splashed at me playfully.

"Jake! "I giggled as he continued throwing water at me.

"Come closer.We came here to have fun remember,"he smiled.

"But I'm having fun, "I smiled back.

"Penny I've known you eversince you were a baby and I've known you to be fun so why are you just sitting down,"he said.

"Okay fine, "I sighed happily as I walked into the water,which later reached me up to my shoulders.

"That's the spirit,"he smiled. We enjoyed ourselves so much.

Onetime I was just standing still, staring at the mangroves when he came behind me, held me close and asked excitedly, "Did you enjoy yourself? It's almost time to go."

"Uhm yes,very much!"I said happily.

"You're the bestest friend I have ever met, I love you Penny,"he said moving infront of me.

"I love you too,"I said as he wrapped my hands around his neck.

"You hungry now? "He asked feeling my belly rumbling against his.

"Sure bet, "I said sadly.

"Don't worry.We have plenty food to last us for almost a week in the van.

Eat all you can when we get back," he smiled.
