chapter 11

Josue jumps up and brings right leg down on Lucas. Lucas blocks it with his left arm before his cane glows yellow and he moves to strike Josue in the chest. A black clone of Josue appears, a negative version of himself, and catches Lucas's cane. Josue then kicks Lucas in his stomach causing him to spit up blood. Then the nega slams Lucas's cane onto his head causing lucas to fall to the floor. Josue smirks as Lucas slowly recovers. "I hope you don't mind If I bring a friend to the party." The nega stands behind Josue as it throws the cane back to Lucas. Lucas wipes the blood off mouth and stands up on the cane. "Oh it's fine." Lucas glows yellow and charges Josue as another Lucas grabs the nega. The nega teleports to punch Lucas in the face as Josue blasts the Lucas holding him. Lucas dodges the punch and slams his glowing leg into the nega before he fully glows yellow and appears behind Josue. "That's a nice try but i can control time," Lucas stops for a second to mull over his next words, "and sometimes i can even see the future." Josue ducks as the nega launches an energy blast at Lucas chest. Lucas's palms glow yellow and then he blasts the nega  and the energy blast, causing them both to glow dark yellow. They both stop as Lucas glows yellow and charges Josue with his cane. Josue blocks it but another Lucas kicks Josue into the energy blast as two more Lucas's punch the nega, while he's frozen in time, rapidly. They disappear as Lucas snaps his figures bringing time back to normal. The nega violently jerks around in midair, finally reacting to the punches, as the energy blast hits Josue. Both the nega and Josue slump to the floor as Lucas puts his hands back on the top of his cane. "well that was a lot easier than I thought." Lucas looks towards the door. "even if they reach the door they won't be able to break in." Lucas turns back to face Josue but sees nothing. "you're not half bad Lucas." Josue flips his coin and lights a smoke with his fingertip. "but let's stop the warm up after all i know you're holding back." Lucas ignores Josue as he stares at the cigarette. "I have to agree with them you do not look good with that cigarette." Josue looks offended. "it makes me feel cool, but whatever just transform or something." Lucas looks at the burn mark on his back. "you plan to fight me with that injury?" Josue extends his arms outward to his sides. "yep no healing powers." Lucas smirks. "fine then." Meanwhile in the hallway, Jill is flying through the hallway with Malcolm carrying himself and Claire. "You think Josue can win?" Malcolm looks at Claire with a puzzled look. "He's the black king so he i'm sure he'll be fine but," Malcolm turns around and flies with his back facing the ground, "Lucas can heal and move way faster a lot easier than Josue so I don't see him winning easily." Malcolm turns back around as Claire states calmly. "Josue doesn't need healing powers though, he was trained to fight his best no matter his injuries." They look at Claire with a questioning glance. "Kim told me." They nod and Jill stops abruptly. "think this is it?" A glowing yellow door is in front of them. "there's no doubt about it the bomb is behind this door but," Malcolm looks at door carefully "this door is protected by Lucas's time powers." Jill has stars in her eyes after Malcolm explains what the glowing is. "that's so cool!" Jill looks at it closely while smiling. While smiling Jill turns to Claire and Malcolm. "stand back I got this." They back up and she begins to blast it with lasers created right in front of her eyes. The door takes the constant beating without any sign of breaking. "hmm looks I need more power." Jill's smile leaves her face then the beam intensifies. "don't bother going full power it won't be enough without draining you completely." Malcolm walks to the door and punches it. "it's pretty sturdy!" Malcolm then pulls his hand away as it smokes, causing him to examine his hand as it smolders. "we can't touch it, I wonder if he can use this in a fight." Claire puts her hands on her hips. "so you didn't absorb his memories or read his mind then?" Jill mimics Claire much to Malcolm's annoyance. "or manipulate it?" Malcolm gazes off onto space. "I did read his mind and i tried absorbing some stuff but it's all blocked out by blueprints." Malcolm is still staring at the space in front of him, hiding the fact he didn't give the whole truth. "and mind manipulation works only with weak minded people." Claire then looks between the both of them "any ideas then?" They all stare at door before Malcolm speaks up. "you and Claire have to blast it with enough power to break it then I'll carry Jill through so you can dispose the bomb." Claire and Jill nod as Malcolm steps away from the door. "OK let's do this." Josue and Lucas back away from each other to give each other space. Josue and the nega glow purple and grab each other's shoulder. "MERGE!!!" Purple energy covers Josue's left side as the nega gets sucked into, then the purple glow disappears to show Josue's complete left side is now negative. "I merge with my nega and let's just say I get a lot stronger, now then," Josue motions towards Lucas, "I showed you my transformation so there's no need to be shy Lucas." Josue hears a dark voice in his head. "you forgot I'm here now, this is the first time you fused since getting the ring." The corruption looks at rocks in the distance as the ground underneath him begins to shake. "since it's harder to keep your own mind in check you can't stay fused for more than..." The corruption thinks about it, the ground now shaking violently under him. "thirty minutes maybe a bit more." Lucas begins talking getting Josue back into reality. "well then now it's my turn." Lucas's sleeves begin to fade into yellow cogs and gears as chains appear on his arms and clocks appear on his hands, looking like glowing yellow tattoos on his skin. "ah" Lucas's clock pupils begin ticking rapidly. 'anything else i should know?' The corruption looks at the now blue sky. "you blocked me out the other night and it hurt me, so when i take over I'm going to make you hurt." Josue nods, still merged, and now glares at a completely transformed Lucas.
