Mystique POV

"YES! Finally, its morning and I can go my own way, no fighting, no guns, no-- Kayden! Uhh hey it's you."

He was standing at my door smiling at me while I was talking to myself.

"Don't look at meee" I hid myself from him. I honestly wish I could just bring him with me and so we can run away together, sadly I couldn't. I finished getting dressed in some basic clothes then threw some shoes on and grabbed my money.

"Glad to see you happy. I rarely see you happy." he slowly walked towards me.

"Whatever Kayden, I just want to say thanks a lot for the money even though I barely know you. You say you rescued me years ago and I guess I should thank you for that too. I just know that I don't want to be put into this crime stuff I just need a normal life right now, but you're super cute and it's kind of hard for me to say goodbye but I need to leave so i'm just gonna--"

And then the weirdest thing happened that interrupted me talking. It was unexpected. Two seconds..five.. then it stopped. I couldn.t stop blushing.  I was on cloud 9.

----------------

"Alright you guys see you later, who's know when?"

Kayden threw me some keys. I gave him one last smile then I walked out the house and seen a dope black on black Range Rover. Pretty good start. I jumped in and went my own way. First stop... A house of my own.

I drove around Rome for hours exploring my options of different places I could go to. Then I seen the historic colosseum. I pulled out my phone that Jax gave me and took pictures. I then left and went back to the house I seen earlier. I bought it.

Its now night time and I've bought plenty of clothes, food, and movies to entertain me. I even met someone name Adrienne while out shopping. I also seen that girl that threatened me, ugh.
Whatever, I'm just gonna stay here, turn up the music and eat all the food I want! Finally.

*Knock Knock*

"...Um who's there?" I lowered the music and I didnt hear a voice. Weird.

"Hello! Who is it?" I walked away then the door slowly opened up. What the fuck is this foolishness. I looked and seen a face. Ugh.

"Kayden what the hell was that? You freaked me out. How did you find me?"

"I followed you, now hush, you're in trouble and you still don't know how to defend yourself."

He pulled out some black wraps and wrapped his hands in them. He looked out the window then the room grew very silent. I had a bad feeling in my gut and I was growing anxious because of his behavior. Just as I decided to walk to where he was standing *crash!* Glass shattered all over the floor, some grazing me. At the same time Kayden grabbed me and brought me to the floor away from the window. That girl bust in my house shooting at me. I thought I was gonna die but Kayden just so happened to take a bullet for me. He was above me, covering me from getting shot. My hero. The girl --not expecting to see him with me--  panicked and apologized to Kayden saying how much she loved him. As soon as I got to my feet, I punched her  between her eyes and knocked her out. That bitch.

I flicked her off about 20 time while she was lying unconscious then I turned my attention back on Kayden.

"I'm fine, I'm good, I have a vest on. Dont worry about me. I'm just going to throw her in the car and take her home."

"Im not worried about you. You should be worried about me! I almost died, my window is broken, there are bullet holes in my walls, and I'm hungry."

Kayden stood up, looked at the bullet lodged in the vest, picked the girl up and carried her out. He came back in. "I'll take care of everything dont worry" He said that like I was actually going to stop worrying. I need to get away from him, but my heart is telling me to stay.

He continued and told me that she is his psycho ex girlfriend and that she is mentally ill or whatever and apparently is getting help. I see no progress. She is out to kill me, but I think i'm going to kill her first.

If only I can just live my life the way I want.
