Anonymous POV -
I closely watched as the both of them left this old, broken down house. I spotted them leaving from her place earlier today and decided to follow them. I didn't think that I'd see her again, but here I am -- watching her as she walks to his bike. Without a single thought, I inched forward *crunch* and the sound of a fallen leaf being crushed was made by my foot... I looked at the leaf, then back up at them, then the leaf again. Kayden had stopped walking. I knew I had to hide so that's what I did. I ran to the back of the house hoping they didn't see or hear me. Quietly, I listened on as I stood behind the house.
" What's wrong?" I heard Mystique ask. It's been years since I heard that voice. So mature now.
*clears throat* "Nothing. Just thought I heard something move in the bushes."
He didn't see me. I pulled out my phone and took a picture of the both of them before the left. Perfect. Kayden just so happen to face this way so I was able to get a clear photo of his face. Now that I knew where he was, i'm going to keep my eyes on him even more, especially now that I know that he has her with him as well. I'm going to remain low long enough to catch him with his guard down and have him pay for what he's done. He's going to get what he deserves. He interfered with business and caused a lot of problems. After seeing Kayden today, my father is going to appreciate this news....
Few Days later Back at Headquarters
Mystique's POV -
"Nerrd!!"
"Would you quit calling me that?"
I'm sitting in the office with Jax because i'm waiting for Kayden. Jax seemed pretty busy but I was getting bored so I started bothering him.
"How about you make me?" I challenged him. I knew he wouldn't do anything. He was too focused on whatever he was working on. It could be a very serious blueprint plan scheme of some sort, and I could be distracting him. I don't care though at this moment because Kayden left me with him and i'm not interested enough to listen to Jax talk about his research. I began pacing back and forth in the office trying to find my purpose.
"The information I'm about to give you is very important and quite shocking so you might want to hear this." Jax was now looking at me while sitting straight up in his black spinning chair. I love those chairs. Whatever he's about to say it better be worth my time. I could be looking for Kayden.
"Fine, okay, im listening... nerd." I couldn't help it.
*sigh* "Mystique, from what I found your father got your family killed. He got into some business with these people and it didn't go well. That night when all those guns were surrounding your house -- you remember that?"
How can I forget?
"-- all of those men were sent to assassinate your family, but you were saved. Your father killed someone after he received a death threat from someone else and they came back to retaliate."
Wow. "Wait a minute, so my father was threatened, then he defended himself, and my whole family payed for it. I had to watch all of them die. Why was I saved?"
"Well.." he leaned back in his chair with his arms folded. "Why kill the baby of the family? The only girl. There are lines that shouldn't be crossed and hurting the baby girl is one of them." Jax turned back to his computer and continued, "Kayden couldn't leave you there so, here you are now. You're in safe hands since he took you away from those corrupted people."
