2pm
I overslept.. I checked my phone and I seen two missed calls from Kayden and a message. After my unexpected breakdown yesterday in training, I stayed with Kayden and talked to him about what happened the night of the incident.
Kayden was the mysterious guy that picked me up. He was so young when he rescued me, so of course didn't have anything to do with it. After having a long conversation with him, I learned that he was a rookie back then but with a different corporation. His boss was a criminal but worked as a police. He convinced Kayden and the other agents that they were helping people.
As Kayden got older he found out the truth and went rogue. He escaped from the place where he grew up and trained at and he started training other young people that have messed up lives. He saved people that were drug addicts, sexually assaulted, people that were abandoned, and some simply who ran away trying to survive on their own.
"Come outside, we got some training to do." sent at 12:30 pm
I got up from my bed, threw on one of the new hoodies I bought and put on some jean shorts with vans. I brushed my hair down since there were loose strands going everywhere from me being a wild sleeper. Then I made my way to the kitchen, grabbed an apple, and called Kayden.
"Hey, where are you?" I looked out the window and seen a motorcycle in my yard. I got suspicious.
"In your house. Come find me. Also keep your guard up."
"What do you--" *Beep* He hung up.
He's already in my house, who knows where, and now I have to find him. I slowly walk around my house first back to my room. I checked under the bed cause he obviously like to creep on me but he wasn't there. I check my closet, bathroom, and then checked the kitchen. I stopped to get something to drink. I finished a cup of juice and sat the cup in the sink.
"Kayden get your ass out here, I'm tired!"
I go to look in my living room and I spot his jacket on the sofa. I smiled. I wanted to put it on. I looked to the left and to the right. Still no Kayden. So I grabbed the jacket and put it on quickly. So much excitement took over and I let my guard down. He knew this. This was bait and I felt for it. He jumped out and grabbed me from behind and pulled me down to the floor with him. He hovered over me and stared at me with an evil grin. Both my arms were being held down tightly by my side. I couldn't move away cause his body weight kept me down.
"My jacket looks better on you than me" he said and chuckled.
"You look better on me too" I said. Why did I say this? I don't know. I wasn't thinking at all.
He looked at me big eyed, then he gave me an evil, up to no good type of look. My heart began to race just thinking about what would happen next. I had to do something
"Ouch, you're hurting me"
"Really?"
His face changed and he was now more worried that he had hurt me. His grip loosened. This was my chance. I freed my arms and flipped him over and now I was in control.
"Ha! that was way too easy." I laughed at him and then stopped. Is that what I think it is? I felt something hard under me. I looked at him surprised. Then I grinned. It's definitely what I think it is. He looked embarrassed and I believe I started to see him blush.
"Okay, it's time to go now. Enough playing around." he easily got me off him and stood up.
I could tell this day was about to be interesting.
*****
Kayden had brought me to what looked like an old abandoned victorian like house. Standing next to each other, we both took a good look at the building. Kayden smiling at the view while I was well.. frowning. It didn't look at all appealing or inviting.
The wooden stairs were broken, the door had holes in it and dirty stains, the windows looked dark and grey and filled with dirt, and their was a hole in the roof. The house looked sad and unpleasant. It looked like it hasn't been lived in in over 50 years.
"Welcome to my sanctuary"
"You've got to be kidding me"
I stood there looking at Kayden waiting for him to say that he wasn't serious, instead, he walked ahead of me and up the stairs. Each step he took up the stairs were followed by a creak from the old wood waiting to crumble.
He turns to look at me, "Come on, it's safe. Trust me."
Yeah, right. Trust him. *sigh* Okay. I walked to him carefully watching my step and he opened the door. I peeked inside and it was pitch black. He walked in leaving me to make a decision on whether to follow or not. I decided not to go in and went back down the stairs. I took my last step down and
"Hey! I need your help, fast! Hurry!"
Kayden yelled out to me. I had to do something. I took one last look of the house, closed my eyes, put my fear aside and ran in.
I ran up the stairs, through the entrane into the dark, and stumbled over the broken floorboards. The door slammed shut behind me.
"Kayden this isn't funny! Where are you? I don't like the dark."
I was slightly crouching with my hand out in front of me trying to feel if nyhing was around me.
"Im right here. You would know that if your eyes were open."
I opened one eye, then the other. That jerk. He wasn't in trouble. He tricked me to get me in this.... beautiful, gigantic, breath taking house. There was many flowers and small bamboo plants, a small waterfall, wooden tables and lots of other rustic and organic furniture. It was peaceful inside.
"So, as I was saying. Welcome to my sanctuary." He winked at me and smirked and stepped to the side as I looked around in awe.
"You'll get a tour later, but first we got some real training to do."
