6 - I missed you, Chiron

I crawled into bed and as soon as my head fell onto the pillow I fell asleep.

"Hello, Perseus Jackson. So glad you can make it." A voice echoed around me. A spun around just to face Void.

"What do you want?" I snarled at him.

"You're a feisty one, aren't you?" I rolled my eyes, "Onto to business though. I would like you to join me in this war."

"Why should I, oh Lord of Stupidity."

He ignored that comment and continued talking, "Well I could offer you limitless amount of power. You could be ruling besides me! You could get your revenge on the Gods and campers. So how about it?"

I chuckled. As if he could convince me so easily. I just shook my head and said one simple word.

"No."

"Well then. I hoped you would say yes but not everything is in my favor. We will win this war without you."

I sat up panting. Then I laughed. As if Void could recruit me. I swung my legs out of my bed and checked the time. 5:37am. Not too early. I got up and walked over to the bathroom. After I finished all my business I opened my closet and put on my uniform and attached my weapons.

I walked into the living room and was surprised to see Skull and Rose sitting there giggling like mad while Arrow face palmed.

"What are you laughing about?" I asked. Skull and Rose just laughed while Arrow rolled her eyes at them.

"They were-well Rose was talking about boys while Skull was talking about the newest OTP he has." Arrow explained. I made an "oh" face.

"Well you just do that then. I guess?" I said while walking out the door. I closed the door behind me while shaking my head. Thhat trio were as thick as thieves.

As I walked out chattering and laughing could be heard. I walked over to the dining table and I sat down with the rest of the Elite squad. They all muttered greetings to me and got on with their food. I whispered what food I wanted and cookies appeared. Unfortunately no blue cookies or that would be too suspicious. I dig in.

As everybody finished eating the horn blew and everybody got up. Time to train. The trio of doom were preparing the campers on speed and making them run. It was hilarious watching them struggle.

Jackie and Jack were training everyone in using swords. They got worse since I left. Their posture was horrendous and their technique was breaking my heart.

Blake was teaching people how to shoot and even if I'm not that good, even I can tell that they're were horrible. Except the Apollo kids but even they went down a notch.

Oli and Basil were teaching survival skills. This one wasn't so bad as they had natural skills.

Matt was teaching how to throw spears. I think someone is actually going to die soon in this one.

Beauty was teaching on medicine. And this one was mostly taught to the Athena and Apollo kids.

Finally, I was teaching how to be stealthy and surprise their opponents. And let me tell you I can hear them from miles away!

"NO VICTORIA DON'T JUMP OFF THE-" Crash! "...tree. I give up." I pinched the bridge of my nose.
"Someone take her to the infirmary!" 2 Apollo kids came running to the rescue.

"EVERYBODY IT'S LUNCHTIME!" I shouted and immediately everyone dropped what they were doing and went to eat at the lunch hall.

I whispered what I wanted and a salad with a chicken sandwich and cola appeared in front of me. I looked around to see my team eating similar things.

I saw Chiron trotting along and checking everyone as if he was looking for someone. Then he looked at me and came my way.

"Ah, Storm, just the man I was looking for. When you're finished I would like to talk to you in the big house." I nodded and went back to my food as he went away.

I finished the last sip of my cola and headed my way to the big house. I looked at the doors, took a deep breath in and opened them. Chiron looked up from some book and gestured to me to follow him. We went to his office.

"What did you want to talk about, Chiron?"

"I think you know, Percy."

"Excuse me, I'm not Percy. Can you explain?"

"Don't lie to me Percy. I would recognise that voice anywhere." Oh no. Welp the jig is up.

"I missed you Chiron"

"And I missed you Perseus." He wrapped his arms around me as tears started to fill my eyes. I put my arms around him too. Chiron pulled me out the hug.

"Take off the mask and hood Percy." I did as he said and he gasped at what grew of the young boy he knew.

"You've grown, my boy!" He then frowned at my scar. (Wrote an extra part in the 5th chapter. Percy now has a scar that has gotten there for dark reasons that are unknown.)

"Where did you get that scar?" He asked looking worried.

"Just some mission." Chiron knew my better than that. He knew I was lying.

"Okay so what actually happened?" He said.

"I- I- I was tortured." I whispered. But Chiron heard me and looked angry.

"By who?" He asked furiously.

"You'll find out soon enough." I said.

"If you say so, my boy." As he finished his sentence a conch horn blew, indicating another battle. Me and Chiron ran outside.

Void was right in front of the army of monsters.

"Why hello, Percy." He said coldly. "How very nice to you again."

"Shut the fuck up." I replied earning a few laughs.

"You brought a war upon yourselfs." He shouted a war cry and charged. I brought my sword up quickly enough to block his strike.

"Do you remember that day? That day I captured you?" He shouted. Everyone was quiet now but you can still here the swords clanging and the bows pulled back. Everyone was straining to listen.

"Remember when I hurt you? When you were in chains? When I could feel your red warm blood running down from the cold knife. As I tortured you for 6 years? As I gave you that very scar that lays on your face? Those were the best 6 years of my life."

I snarled and fought harder as all campers stared at me with shocked faces.

"I will not be controlled by you ever again." I slashed a cut on his leg and then another on his arm. He was losing and he realised. He started to go backwards and told all the monsters to retreat. Never again.
