Dinner went on normally. After that, Gin was once again washing the dishes while Kagura had dragged (Name) to help her finish the remaining homework. It was getting late when they finished it all. (Name) yawned, hands covering her mouth and exhaustion evident on her features. She checked her watch for the nth time today and when she deemed it late, she spoke, "I guess it's time to go home."
Kagura whined, still not wanting to separate with her, "already?"
"Yes, I'm sorry. Let's do this again some time," the older replied, giving her a tired smile.
"I know! Why don't you stay for the night?!" the teen happily suggested. (Name) giggled at her while Gin groaned in disapproval.
"Oi oi give her a break. Where will you even let her sleep?"
(Name) sweat-dropped as she mumbles, "that's not the point."
"She can sleep with me on my bed!" the girl offered, hugging (Name)'s arm.
"As if you have enough space and have you forgotten? You toss too much in your sleep. You even fell one time," the perm-head countered, droopy eyes staring flatly at the girl.
"Then where do you want? Your bed?" Kagura asked, her own orbs dropping its vibrant expression into a dull one.
(Name)'s eyes widen at the redhead's outrageous suggestion. Gintoki grunted, not finding the girl's idea amusing.
"That's not possible, idiot," he said, smacking the teen's head, "(Name) will be sleeping in her own bed at her own house."
"I don't want to! I still have a lot of things to talk about!" Kagura cried, squeezing the woman's arm tighter.
(Name) feigned a smile, an imaginary bead of sweat trailing down her temple. Gintoki sighed at the teen's stubbornness.
"Give it a rest. The person still has to work tomorrow," he scolded and the teen pouted.
"I can always drop by any time so don't worry," (Name) assured and Kagura hesitantly let go of her arm.
"Fine," the teen finally gave in, "but, can we have a picture first before you leave?" She requested, eyes pleading. (Name), unable to resist the look the girl is giving, agreed. Kagura cheered as she take out her phone and pointed the camera at them.
(Name) smiled as she wait for the snapping sound from the phone. Few seconds have passed and Kagura still hasn't clicked the capture button. (Name) had dropped her smile to ask the girl if there's a problem. Kagura turned her head around to stare at the perm head behind them casually picking his ears.
"Oi perm-head, you're included too," she stated.
"Huh? Am I in the way? Then I'll move-"
"No, idiot. You're joining too," Kagura declared, grabbing the man's arm to pull him closer for the camera to capture him as well. The girl linked her other arm on the woman beside her again, then she held her phone away from them and started tilting it to find the best angle. When all is set she signaled.
"Say cheese!"
*Click*
When Kagura checked the captured photo, (Name) snorted while the redhead's grin reversed as she looked at the person by her side and complained.
"What was that? Can't you even smile?"
"Isn't that enough? Such a pain," Gintoki dead-panned, hand scratching his wavy locks. The teen just grumbled, knowing that there's no way in hell that the perm-head will allow another picture taken.
"You done now?" he asked, addressing the girl. When Kagura didn't say anything, he turned towards (Name) and proposed, "then shall we go?"
"We?" (Name) questions back in perplex.
"Yeah. I'll walk you home," Gin stated matter-of-factly.
"It's fine. I can go by myself," the woman declined, waving her hands for emphasis. The silver-head insisted, saying that he won't take no for an answer. Kagura watched in glee as the two argue like the couple she thought.
It seems that (Name)'s stubbornness is nowhere near the perm-head's, not even close. No matter what she try to reason, she can't get the guy to give up. In the end, she caved in. She's already getting tired after all. She bid Kagura farewell and the redhead did the same. The walk home was quiet and honestly both of them do not mind the tranquility since they already feel exhausted. They only spoke when they had arrived in front of (Name)'s apartment building. (Name) voiced her gratitude and said good bye to the man, and the other returned the action.
