It has been weeks since the group date and even though (Name) got his number, no one initiates a conversation. Her friends have been bugging her about it but she ignored them saying that she's not really that interested and she's too busy to be dealing with something like 'love'.
(Name) was on her way home, riding the train when the three goddesses of fate had decided to playfully pull a prank on her. They must have been upset about the lack of interaction. (Name) was deliberating on whether she'll greet the silver haired man or just ignore him. But the tricky goddesses won't allow the latter from happening. As if sensing her stare, the man turned his head to see her which left her no choice but to greet him. (Name) smiled at him as she drew near him.
"Hey," she greeted, standing next to him.
"Hey."
"Fancy meeting you here huh?" she said, trying to build a decent talk.
"Yeah," he replied, scratching his curly hair.
"Huh? Gin-chan who is she? Is she your girlfriend?" The sudden question made (Name) look at the new face sitting in front of Gintoki. She has salmon red hair, which were tied in a bun on both side of her hair covered by an ornament, and big ocean blue eyes. She is wearing a school uniform.
"No, just... someone I know," Gintoki answered, trailing at the end, not sure at what he'll label her.
(Name) smiled understanding his predicament and asked a question as well, "your daughter?"
The man looked at her and shook his head.
"No, she's a relative. Her parents are away so I'm looking after her," he explained and (Name) didn't know why but she felt relieved.
The girl was looking at the two back and forth, waiting to be introduced. Gin sensing it, sighed and introduced both of them to each other. They talked for a while and (Name) asked them, "are you going home as well?"
"Hm? Yeah but we'll be eating first," Gin said.
"That's right! Do you want to join us as well, big sis (Name)?" Kagura enthusiastically invited.
Big sis? Why is she calling me big sis? (Name) thought but let it slide, "is that alright? I don't want to intrude on your family time."
"It's fine! I'm getting fed up of seeing this perm head's face every day!" Kagura reasoned.
"Is that so. Then starting today, you'll have to eat by yourself using your own money," the other deadpanned.
(Name) giggled at the two and muttered, "if it's alright with Sakata-san then..."
Gin raised a brow at the unaccustomed name while Kagura looked at him expectantly. He sighed and said, "just call me Gin."
Kagura rejoiced while (Name) tilted her head in confusion. Was that a yes? Judging by Kagura's reaction, she assumed that it's an approval and smiled.
