Walking through the woods helps calm me. It gives me a form of comfort and shelter. The smell of blooming flowers and damp bark filled my nostrils. I felt free every time I have an adventure in this never ending mass of green. I come here when I am angry, sad or stressed. I feel as though the trees listen to me and I can lean on them for support and comfort.

I like to imagine that I am a wolf. I have thick, silver fur covering my entire four-legged body. I run through the trees, weaving myself around them like needle and thread, looking for my lost pack. Sometimes, when I make sure no one is nearby, I howl to the sky like it would make everything better in a way.

When I'm least fortunate a few close by hunters hear me and look at me as if I've gone completely and utterly insane. Sometimes I'm convinced that I am. But my brother reassures me that he said, and I quote' If you were mad then you would have killed me by now.'

I'm scared that maybe one day I will kill him. Not the insane murder type of kill but by the medicine. What if one day he or I had forgotten to give the medicine? What if he got worse and we couldn't pay for treatment? What if I had died at some point in the forest or simply assassinated? Who would care for Timothy then? My grandparents have their own problems. What if...What if... What if...

Suddenly I heard a bush move around. I didn't think anything of it, thinking that it was only a rabbit. But the rustling got louder and bigger and I was forced to a stop, looking around me. I saw the bush move one more time before a creature barged out of it roaring at the same time.

I had gasped at the site. A handsome young man about my age appeared out of the bush. He brushed the dirt and leaves off of him, his brown locks falling over his narrow face. He had big brown eyes that looked up at me after a moment, looking into my green ones. He was beyond handsome. He had features of a God!

The boy smiled at me and I returned the kind gesture.

"Good morning, what is a beautiful young lady as yourself doing out here?" He had a slight accent, sounding Scottish. He bowed jokingly, I think, and grabbed my hand and kissed it, making me giggle.

"Good morning, I'm taking a stroll. Getting some fresh air." I answered, "And yourself?"

"I too am having a long stroll in the woods for it is a beautiful day. May I have your name?"

"Give me a reason to." I replied with a mischievous look on my face.

His face fell but it didn't last long because his face quickly turned into a smirk.

It all happened so fast

His face became hard and cold. His eyes became bigger and slowly turning a bloodshot red.  Dark purple veins started surrounding his chocolate brown eyes. His mouth opened only to present two long and pointy fangs.

I wanted to scream, my mouth opened, but nothing came out. I tried to stand tall and strong but I couldn't. I probably looked like I was going to faint. My knees started to shake, but I refused to fall.

I had never seen anything like this. I don't think anybody has. I just stood there, my mouth hanging open, looking like an idiot. Was he human? Surely not. That's impossible. We hadn't learned this in school.

My brother hadn't told me about such monster. Face like human. But is not human.

"Thiers your reason."

That's when I screamed. I shut my eyes tight. My hands formed into fists. And then I let out the ear-piercing noise. But as soon as it came, it left. My voice was blocked by a hand covering my mouth, muting it.

My eyes burst open. My eyes searched furiously for the owner of the hand, then mentally face palming myself because it was probably the boy(that I have yet to have the pleasure of knowing his name).
