Chapter 16

"Is there a miss Christine Conlon here?" The officer asked

"Y-yeah" I stood up and Spot came with me.

"Im sorry but youve been out for 4 weeks and in that time..." He trailed off.

What could he possibly bee talking about? Oh my jeasus Josh! No nono!

"Miss?"

"Oh yes sorry can you repeat that?"

"Mame your brother... He is dead im terribly sorry for your loss" He said and left.

"Chris im so sorry" Spot pulled me into a tight hug and I just cried and cried my eyes out.

Its been a few weeks since ive found out Josh had died. Ive been planning his funeral with Jack, Race and Spot's help.

"So how bout we take a lunch break?" Jack asked. We all nodded and headed down to Tibby's

Spot wrapped his arm around my waist while we walked.

"Jessica! Hey!" It was Adnet.

"Oh hey Adnet! Umm whats up?"

"Jessica why is Spot Conlons hand around your waist?!"

"Kitten what is he talking about?" Spot asked. Jack and Race just watched ready to fight if needed.

"He thinks my name is Jessica and I met him when I ran away" I whispered in his ear. He just nodded in understandance.

"Well Adnet he is my boyfriend" I smiled.

"He is a bad person Jess you shouldnt be around him or any Newsie really." He said

"I am a Newsie Adnet now you will excuse me we have to go" I said and we all continued on.

"ILL BE BACK JUST YOU WATCH!" He yelled after us.

I just flipped him off and we made our way to Tibby's.

Race and Spot had to leave half way through for some reason so it was now just me and Jack.

"Jack?" I asked.

"Whats up babe?"

"Is Spot going to marry me? Or am I just here for now?"

"Chris your his whole life when you were out for the 4 weeks he wouldnt leave your side. The Doctor had to force feed him and give him sleeping pills because he just stayed by your side holding your hand. He though he had lost you and he wasnt going to give you up at all."

"Good" I smiled.

Jack and I were walking back to Spot's when we saw a fight. Of course we went to check it out.

Guess who it was? Adnet and his friends against Spot, Race and there friends.

I ran in while Jack yelled at me to come back.

"STOP STOP STOP!!" I ran in the middle.

They all stopped and looked at me. I was furious.

I looke Adnet right in the eye.

"You little Bitch! Stop bugging me and my family! I dont like you I never will! Go away go back to wherever the hell you came from right now! God im so down with all these shit!" I screamed in his face.

I felt arms wrap around my waist and a chin on my head. Of course it was Spot.

"Come on babe lets go home" He whispered huskly in my ear.

I turned around and he picked me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he carried me home.

We got home and we went to bed.

"I love you Chris. Before you go to sleep can I give you something?"

I nodded and he got out from under the covers and got a little box.

"Chris I love you but were to young to be married. Im 20 your 16. Anyways this is a promise ring. We will get married when your legal and we wont love anyone else" He proposed to me.

I just nodded and kissed him. We put the rings on and went to bed.

"I love you Kitten"

"I love you Puppy"

And we both drifted off to sleep.
