TB [Tattoo Boy]: Meet me outside my house at 6pm. Do not tell anyone.

What the hell does that mean?

Me: Why?

"What is it." Grace asked.

'Do not tell anyone'.

"Oh...uh... my aunt. She's just checking that I'm feeling better after yesterday."

I dont know why I lied - I've told Grace everything so far. But there was a feeling somewhere inside of me that knew I should do as he said. What is this boy doing to me?!

"What did you tell her about your hand?"

"I told them both that I was having really bad period cramps which was why I had to come home, and i said I'd tripped and hit my hand on the corner of my locker door."

"And they believed you?"

"As far as I'm aware, yeah."

"Cool. Well, now that I know what happened between you and Tattoo Boy, I would really like to eat before I die of starvation."

--------------------

I looked at my phone. It was 5:55pm and Daniel hadn't responded to my text asking why I had to meet him. I sat on my bed trying to decide what to do.

I could ignore his demand to show him he can't boss me around. But then he might get angry and as much as I try not to pay attention to rumors - they could have some truth to them as Grace suggested, and he could be a violent person.

But on the flip side of it, I want to meet him. I'm far too curious about him, and going with him might help me get to know him better.

I get up and throw on a hoodie and my Chuck Taylors and leave the house. Jake is out with his soccer friends and Dave and Tessie are at another charity event so at least I don't have to explain where I'm going. Which is especially good considering I have no damn clue.

I walk across the grass that separates Daniel's house from my mine and just as I'm about to make it to their porch, the door opens and Daniel walks outside. He walked towards a black pick up truck parked on the curb and I followed behind.

"No motorcycle?" I asked.

"In the shop." He replied with no emotion as he opened the passenger door for me and waited for me to get in before closing it.

That was... gentlemanly.

He got in the drivers side, turned on the engine and drove away. Neither of us spoke for a while and it began to make me feel uncomfortable.

"Where are we going.?" I asked.

"You'll see."

"Could you be more specific, please. You could be taking me out to the middle of nowhere to murder me and bury me in an unknown location." I said, once again without thinking.

He turned his heard towards me and raised an eyebrow.

"What? For all i know, I'm right." I said and he turned his attention back to the road ahead.

"Then why did you come?" He asked.

I opened mouth to reply, but quickly closed it, realising I didn't have an answer. Curiosity, maybe?

"Honestly, I don't know." I said. He glanced at me quickly then looked back ahead, and we didn't speak again for the rest of the journey.

About 30 minutes after we had left our street, the town dissappeared behind us and we were in the middle of nowhere. The murder scenario was starting to look a little more likely.
