The walls in the room I was in were thin so I could hear the crowd cheering and the announcer introducing the fighters.

"Welcome ladies and gentleman, to tonights main event. We have 2 of the best fighters in the area here tonight and I'm betting they're already baying for blood so let's get them in to the ring!

First up we have tonights challenger… The Hammer!" The crowd clapped and cheered as he, presumably, entered the ring.

"And who is he challenging I hear you ask? Please welcome to the ring, the 14 time undefeated fighter, The Sedative!" The crowd cheered louder for him than the other guy and I couldn't help but feel curious. I stood up and opened the door a little and i saw Daniel entering the ring.

He calls himself The Sedative? I'm not fighting expert, but what kind of name is that?!

A bell rang and The Hammer threw a punch towards Daniel. I didn't see if it connected with his face because I closed the door again. I really didn't want to see him getting beat up; even if he may end up the victor.

I sat on the sofa for what felt like an eternity. In reality it was only 15 minutes.

"Undefeated for 15 straight matches… your champion… The Sedative!!" The whole crowd cheered again and I decided it was safe to open the door again.

The crowd started to part as he walked in my direction. Guys were slapping his back or shaking his hand and although he had a a cut above his other eyebrow, this time, and a bruise beginning to appear on his jaw, he was smiling.

Granted I had only known him a few days but I didn't even know if he could smile. For all i know he could've pulled an angry face as a child and it did indeed stick that way.

He had a beautiful smile, and I couldn't help myself from smiling at him. When he saw me, I expected him his face to turn sour like it had done previously, but it didn't. He kept smiling as he walked towards me and my heartbeat quickened.

"Congratulations." I said as he entered the room and I closed the door.

"Thanks." He said taking a bottle of water from his holdall and chugging it all. I walked over and sat at the table as he pulled his t-shirt back on.

"Let me see the damage then." I said and he took a seat on the chair next to mine and faced me. I put on some gloves and inspected his face; his eyes were pinned on me. All of a sudden I felt nervous and I didn't know why.

"I… uh... It doesn't look like the injury to jaw is anything serious, but I think the cut on you eyebrow is going to need stitches." I told him.

He reached into the medical bag and took about a sewing kit and put it in front of me.

"No no… I don't think you understand. I can't stitch it myself."

"Why not?" He asked.

"Why not? Because I've never done it before! The closest thing I've done is sew up a hole in a pair of jeans once." He was crazy if he thought I was going to do this.

"It's really not that different." He argued.

"Still, I'd really rather someone else do it." I said.

"There is no one else to do it. And before you say, I can't go to the hospital because I'm on my dad's insurance policy so he'll find out."

Why did I think it would be a good idea to come here? This is the stupidest decision I've made. Thinking I can fix up a fighter like I'm some kind of team doctor... What is wrong with me?!

"I… really don't think I can. What if I screw up and you lose an eye or something?" He let out a laugh but I was deadly serious.

"I'm not going to lose an eye, Sweetpea." He said. Why did he have to call me a cute nickname? That's not fair!
