“Rhys?” I whispered.
“Yes.” He whispered back. This had to be a coincident. This couldn’t be because of the dream.
“Right Rhys. The teachers told me I should be good with you. Do you want to tell me a bit about you?”
Rhys nodded. “I’m Rhys and I am seven years old. I live with my dad. I have three brothers named Ethan, Flynn and Daniel. I moved here from Australia a few years ago. I was diagnosed with something along the lines of-” He stopped and thought. “I dunno what they said it was called.”
I looked at him. “Can you explain what happens?”
Rhys nodded again. “I have dreams and they, they come true.”
“Vivid dreams.” I whispered. Rhys looked at me.
“Will you tell me about you too?”
“Okay.” I took a deep breath. “I’m Marcus. I have an identical twin brother named Michael. I’m originally from Mallorca so I know my spanish but I moved here to Manchester when I was five. I’m twelve and I live with my mum and dad and twin brother. I was diagnosed with vivid dreams when I was six and now I have extra things where I have a think called a ‘daydream’ where I collapse and have some sort of dream. Oh, my dream came true today.”
Rhys just stared at me. “What dream?”
“Er, I had a dream about a new boy called Rhys.”
“And it came true.” He whispered. “I had a dream where I met you. Marcus.”
We both had the same condition. I wasn’t the only one! “So how does it affect your social life?”
Rhys smiled. “Well, I found stuff with my cousins. They’re a bit younger than me but I’ve found some funny things the last few years.”
I nodded. “It’s pretty tough having these dreams and the thing coming true isn’t it?” He nodded.
“Marcus!” A voice called. I turned around to see a teacher. “You’re wanted back up at your class.”
I looked at Rhys. “I got to go. I’ll try and come back tomorrow, okay?” He nodded.
“Bye.”
“Bye.”
