We walked into school the next day. “SURPRISE!” Everyone yelled as we walked into class. The class was full of balloons, sweets, cake and PRESENTS! I loved it!Please note I had Armani tucked in my bag.
“Woah guys, this is awesome!” I laughed. Michael nodded.
“Yeah, it’s cool.” We hugged each of our classmates and even our teacher!
Harriet looked really upset so I took her to the side of the classroom. “Don’t be sad.”
She looked up at me, tears in her eyes. “Why not. You have to go to a different school. I just found you again.”
I handed her a card with my number on it. I had loads, just for friends. “Keep in touch and I’ll make sure we see each other.” She nodded and ran off.
We moved into the hall and some other people from selected homegroups were brought into the hall. Rhys ran at me.
“Everything is set for our party later. Got Armani?” I nodded and he grinned.
I was handed so many presents I couldn’t keep count. Luckily they were really small. Some of them were money!
Then there were speeches. Rhys was up first.
“Marcus, Michael, I’ve known you guys since my first day of school here, four months ago. I hoped to know you through my whole time at school but that seems to be impossible. I hope we can still be friends and keep in touch.” He got down and we gave him a hug.
“I’m going to miss you kid.” Michael laughed.
There were so many speeches I couldn’t keep track and at one point I was crying! Michael cried like a shower and I couldn’t help laughing.
This was the best day at my school, and the last.
We took a picture with everyone in the hall using the stage as a raised bit. They got it printed out using printing paper and we each got a copy. They promised everyone else some as well. I felt famous; I was taking selfies, saving numbers.
It was such a good day and it had to end.
We walked the way back to Rhys’ with Ethan and Flynn. We walked past the pet shop so I went in. I bought some food for Armani.
We strolled into Rhys’ home and I smiled. I’m back. Charlie ran up to me and Michael and gave us a hug. “Hi guys!” Michael looked like he was in shock. “I looked after-”
“I know, I know.” He groaned. “Charlie.”
I brought Armani out of my bag and we watched him explore the living room. The triplets were pretty happy about the party, but sad they went to another school so they weren’t there!
My phone buzzed. Ready? I sighed.
“Me and Michael have to go.” I felt really upset. I had to leave these people.
I shook hands with Ethan, Flynn and Daniel. I was hugged by Charlie and I turned to Rhys. He was crying so hard, me likewise.
“Bye Rhys.” I sobbed, hugging him hard. He hugged me back and I smiled. “Text and ring me all the time?”
“Always.”
I gave them all one last hug, picked up Armani, and walked out the door with Michael. Brighton.
