"You know what the doctor said. Not until he gives you the all clear." You winced at the sight of seeing Hotch lecture Reid about being able to fly on the plane. Spencer had suffered a severe blow to the head during our last case, and the doctor had given him specific orders not to fly back home. "I'll drive him back, Hotch." You came up behind Reid and bumped your hip lightly against his, a little thing you had done since you joined the team. "Are you sure? It's a nine hour drive to Quantico." The chocolate-haired man next to you furrowed his brow, probably wondering why you would want to drive that long, and you answered, "Yeah, driving always takes my mind off the case, ya know? And who else would be better to spend that time with than your best friend?"
"Thanks for taking one for the team, Y/N." Morgan teased from the other side of Reid. "He always has to take too many coffee breaks." You stuck your tongue out at him, knowing exactly how many coffee breaks he would have to take. As long as you got to spend time with him, you didn't really care. You had always had a crush on him, but you settled for just being his friend when you realized it probably wasn't going to happen. For some reason, you had always had more courage when you were dealing with serial killers than you did when you were talking to Spencer.
"Wheels up in 30." Hotch finished up the little talk he had with the team that you had zoned out for, saying it was almost time to head back home. You found Spencer's eyes and tilted your head in the direction of both of your go bags, asking without actually asking if he wanted to go ahead and go. He nodded and you both started to make your way over to them, each of you grabbing your own and putting it in the back of the car. "Am I forgetting anything?" You asked him, as you both got in the car and put on your seat belts. His eidetic memory came in handy, especially when your memory wasn't the greatest. "No, you have everything." He quickly answered.
"Thanks. Is there anything you need from anywhere before we get on the interstate?" You questioned, smiling at him and starting the ignition. "No, I'm okay, thanks." He mumbled, looking down at his hands. You started to pull out and make your way to the highway, frowning and asking, "Are you okay, Reid?"
He looked at you for a moment before he softly answered,"Yeah, I'm fine." You weren't convinced, but you didn't push it. Maybe he just needed some space.

It was about an hour later that you decided you had had enough of the silence. Neither of you had said a word, and it was killing you. You reached down and turned on the radio, flipping through stations until you found one that wasn't on a commercial. The song that was on was "In Case" by Demi Lovato. Her voice came through the speakers, "In case you don't find what you're looking for, in case you're missing what you had before. In case you change your mind, I'll be waiting here. In case you just want to come home. Strong enough to leave you,
but weak enough to need you,
cared enough to let you walk aw-" The sound suddenly stopped. You looked over at Spencer, who had turned the radio off, and saw a mixture of both anger and sadness on his face. You got off on the next exit, pulling into a parking lot and turning to face him. "What is up with you?" You asked, starting to get a little angry that he wasn't talking to you.
"What's up with me?! How about the fact that you didn't even tell me, and I had to overhear you and Morgan talking about it?" He snapped.
"What are you talking about?" You asked, very confused about what exactly he was upset with you for.
"You know what I'm talking about. Transferring from the BAU to Interpol! How could you not tell me?" All anger was gone, and he looked more hurt now than upset. He looked out the window to avoid looking at you, but that was definitely not happening. "Hey, look at me." You spoke softly, putting your hand on his arm to get his full attention. His eyes met yours, and you saw a couple of tears rolling down his cheeks. You sighed, "Oh, Spencer. Morgan and I were talking about what we would have done if we were in Emily's shoes. I told him that the best opportunity for her was Interpol." He looked at you with wide eyes and asked, "So you're not leaving?" You shook your head.
"I'm not going anywhere." You softly responded. His body seemed tense so you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, pulling him in for a hug. "I promise, I'm not leaving you," you whispered as he buried his face into your shoulder. When the embrace ended, you pulled back and looked at him. Your eyes were gazing into his and unknowingly you both started to lean in. You had waited years for this, and you just couldn't anymore. You placed your arms around his neck and gently pulled him forward, wanting to do what you had been hoping for forever. His soft lips finally met yours, and.. wow. It started out incredibly sweet and gentle, then it deepened to one of passion as all of your feelings for him over the years poured out into that one kiss. Your hands tangled in his hair and his arms wrapped around you, holding you tightly to his chest, like he would never let go now that he had you.

When you arrived at the BAU headquarters the next day, the team didn't seem surprised to see you walk in hand in hand.
