KATNISS POV
I'm dreaming of being free and it is so awesome. But then hear a ringing what my alarm clock? Ugh!...
Wait my alarm should not go off on Sundays... I open my eyes and see my phone ringing and see that it is Finnick why is he calling me at 5:30 in the morning on a Sunday!
I hit accept and then I hear him yell...
"PEETA IS IN THE HOSPITAL AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED COME HERE NOW!" It then, all sinks in Peeta is in the hospital, but why? KATNISS SNAP OUT OF IT! YOUR BEST FRIEND IS IN THE HOSPITAL SO GO AND SEE HIM AND MAKE SURE HE IS OK! I run and change and brush my teeth and put on shoes.
I grab my keys to my car and my phone and run out the door. I drive as fast as I can, then I make it to the hospital.
Peeta pov (Before Hospital)
When my mom steps close to me she lifts the rolling pin and hits me in the head three times, or at least I think three times.
Then she kicks me to many times to count, then I hear the doorbell. I can't even get up, it hurts too much. I black out, and the last thing I hear is Finnick yelling my name.
* TWO HOURS LATER *
I wake up in a hospital room, I see Katniss and Finnick in the hospital chairs sleeping.
Katniss wakes up a few minutes later.
"Can I come sit on the bed with you?" She asked stretching out from being in the chair. "It's uncomfortable."
Of course, I say yes, she crawls into bed. She then asks what happened to me. I have to tell her a and that I like her we have been friends forever.
"I did not want to tell you this way but my mom beats me hard like she almost killed me a few times... But I can handle it." I said, looking down ashamed.
"This is why I come to school with bruises and red marks, she uses a rolling pin! I really did not want to tell you because you would think less of me, and I love you more than friends. Since we were 5, I also did not want you worrying about me. It would also make me really happy for you to be my girlfriend?!?" I asked, scared about what she was going to say... Could this ruin our perfect friendship?
Katniss pov (before speech)
All I can think about is Peeta, I mean we are graduating in a few weeks is he going to be okay then? I mean he broke some ribs and has a cracked skull!
I made it to his room and saw Finnick sleeping in one of the chairs. So then I fall asleep to, seeing Peeta asleep.
I wake up and see Peeta bright blue eyes staring at me, I ask if I can sit on the bed and he says yes.
"What happened?" I asked, confused at what he did.
He gives me this long speech and then asks me to be his girlfriend, that would be a dream come true he could protect me from Gale!
"YES," I said, happily.
He hugs me and then I kiss him and he kisses back. Then I ask if I can stay in the bed and he says yes and I fall asleep in his arms. Not knowing what was in the day to come.
