Shizuo's POV
Keeping Izaya from wandering off is harder than I had expected. I'm beginning to believe that he didnt' lose his memory. Instead, he switched memories with a five year old.
"Izaya, what are you doing?" I sigh.
He points over to a group of teenagers. There are two boys and a girl.
"They have the same uniform as you and Shinra did in a picture at Shinra's house. Are they someone I know?"
I think for a minute. Aren't these the kids that got caught up in his schemes? Yeah, I think so. Shit. This will be bad if they talk. "You shouldn't go over to them."
"Why not, Shizu-chan?" He looks at me, slightly pouting.
"What the!? Why the hell are you calling me Shizu-chan. My name is Shizuo!" Now I definitely thinking they're pulling some kind of prank on me.
"Shinra told me to shorten people's names and add 'chan.' He said that normal people do that."
I clench my fist. So it's Shinra's fault. "Then why don't you call Shinra 'Shin-chan' or something."
He rolls his eyes as if the answer is obvious. "He told me not to do it if the person doesn't like it."
"I don't like it," I growl.
"But Shizu-chan feels right," he argues.
I rub my temples. Somehow he's even just as annoying now as he was before. "Fine," I tell him, "but you have to go straight to my house." (I thought about abandoning him at his house, but I don't want him to read all of his notes on people and become a stalker again.) When I look up, he's already crossing the road. I groan. Why me?
"Hello~!" Izaya greets the teenagers cheerfully.
All of them immediately tense up. The girl gets in a defensive stance, almost as if she had some sort of sword or knife in her hand. The black haired boy just stiffens. The blonde takes a step back and clenches his fists.
"What are you doing here, Izaya?" The blonde spits with a venomous tone.
He completely doesn't catch or ignores all of the hatred in the teenager's tone. "As you know, I guess, I'm Izaya. You guys looked interesting, so I wanted to talk to you."
I have to hold back the facepalm. If only he knew the type of person he used to be... or maybe still is.... ?
They all look confused, but don't let their guard down.
"What is he talking about?" The blonde looks between us.
"More surprisingly, why are you two together?" The black haired boy questions.
"It's a really long story," I tell them. "But basically, Izaya lost his memories and for some reason I have to take care of him." Just thinking about it makes me angry. I punch Izaya to let my anger out. Surprisingly, he doesn't dodge, he does slightly move, so he doesn't quite get the full force of my punch. I guess he also forgot my attack patterns and anger signs. This is already better than I originally thought.
He clutches his side in pain. "Shizu-chan! Why would you do that?"
"You're just lucky you saw it in time to react a bit," I remark.
"Even if you forgot everything, that doesn't change what happened. You still ruined people's lives," the blonde glares at Izaya.
Izaya looks offended. "I would not ruin anyone's life... I think."
He laughs angrily, "Of course you wouldn't."
"Masaomi," the black haired kid says.
"You're name is Masaomi? So can I call you Ma-chan?" Izaya asks.
"What? No! Do not call me 'Ma-chan!'"
"Why not, Masaomi?"
He glares at him. "You can't call me that either. Call me Kida-sama or something."
Izaya jumps at him and clings onto his arm. "We'll be great friends, Ma-chan!"
I pull Izaya off of him by the hood and with the other hand tear a railing off. I wrap the railing around him, not really caring if I hurt him and begin to walk off, sighing. I'm really going to need to smoke when I get home.
"Why the fuck did you hug him?" I ask a while later.
"Well, that's how Shinra shows affection to Celty."
"Has that ever ended well?"
He nods, but pretty much stays silent for the rest of the way back to my house. When we get there, I put him on the couch, do not unwrap him, grab my cigarettes, and head outside.

Sorry if it's bad. I'm tired.
Bye, bye!
