"... Maybe you should start with the missing person's lists. I think the police stations have them."
Addy nodded animatedly, "Right. Thanks, Jenny. I'll get back to you later."
"No problem, Addy. Talk to you later."
Addy touched the red button on the smartphone and ended the call. She raised her head and smiled. Tarzan was munching on the chicken popcorns happily while his eyes wandered around onto the streets.
"Delicious?" She queried cheerfully. Tarzan stopped his munching and turned his head towards her. He blinked twice and slowly shook his head.
Addy frowned in confusion. "Why not?"
"Addy's delicious." He replied monotonously.
Chuckling to herself, Addy sucked in a breath and grinned at his choice of words and sentences. His words always amuses her and never failed to make her laugh.
He continued, "Go where?"
"Well," Addy hesitated and glanced at her watch. "Probably the police station."
Tarzan nodded and continued with his eating. His eyes would wandered around the people on the streets once in a while. Once he had finished eating, Addy swung her handbag over her shoulder and stood up. Tarzan followed soon and together, they walked hand in hand in the direction of the police station.
Once they stepped foot inside of the busy building, a young man in his uniform greeted her. "Good morning, miss. What can I do for you today?"
"Yes, hello. I'm here to check if anyone on the missing person's lists meets the characteristics of a person I know." She answered.
The police contemplated for a while before looking back up at her. He smiled and extended his hand at the door situated behind him, "Right this way, miss."
As they reached an outdated-looking computer, the police once again smiled and glanced back. "If it helps with your search, miss, our station has not received any missing person's reports over the past two years. Everything has been quite fine and dandy these past two years and the crime rate is quite low, much to the citizens satisfaction."
"Thank you for the info, officer. I'll be sure to keep that in mind."
He nodded with pleasure, "Alright. I'll leave you to your search."
The officer left and Addy took a seat on the office chair meanwhile Tarzan took a seat on the chair just beside her. Together, they stared at the computer screen as it turned blue before a file labelled missing person popped out on the window. Filling in the traits and characteristics possessed by Tarzan, Addy quietly sneaked a glance beside her. Seemed like Tarzan had no idea about what she was trying to work out at the moment as he continued to remain his stoic and expressionless facial expression.
"Do what, Adelaide?" He questioned.
She smiled reassuringly, "Something I should do from the start. I'll get it done soon, I promise. Then we can go and get you one of the best ice cream in Ipswich."
Tarzan's eye lit up. He grinned cheekily and nodded eagerly. Addy chuckled and got back to what she was doing.
Two hours had passed and Addy seemed to be on the verge of giving up. Nothing seemed to match her descriptions of Tarzan and not even one or two files had been close to his information she had typed in the description box. It seemed like Tarzan never existed in Suffolk, or even England perhaps.
