• DOMINIC'S POV •
col leads me to the house and pushing the front door open revealing a a large open living room with wood floors and 3 large couches. There's a large round coffee table between them with some books papers and kids toys throw about on top of it. There's a few house plants hanging in the room. What I couldn't see from the front of the house is large windows showing the lake behind and removing the need for a television in this room at all. There's a few kids sitting on the floor playing with toys and they glance up at up as we walk in but pay us no mind as their actions figures are far more important. Almost the second we step through the door Nic is round a corner and walking towards us, a grin on his face. He hugs us both before gesturing around slightly, "welcome to the pack of Golden Summit, so... What do you think?" He asks and I smile.
"It's amazing Nic, there's so many people and wolves." He seems to grin widely at my comment and takes my hand.
"C'mon I have someone I want the two of you to meet." He says dragging us through the house. I notice that as he walks by, people move out of his way and bow their heads at him, smiles on their faces. It's so weird seeing him being treated so highly when I've used to him just being a lazy goofball. He brings us to a woman who was cooking in the kitchen. She she seems Nic she bows slightly like everyone else had done before smiling at all of us. "Dom, col, this is Maria. After my parents died she's the one who took care of Toby and I. She and a few other members of the pack make the meals around here, but she's kind of like the nurse of the pack. If someone gets hurt we go straight to her." He says and she chuckles lightly. She's short and her hair is gray and curly. Her smile is filled with so much warmth as she looks between us. She holds her hand up, shaking lightly but I blame that on age as she shakes our hands.
"So these are your mates dear, how lovely. Two handsome young mean indeed." She muses with a sweet voice, almost like honey.
Nic seems to chuckle shyly at her comment. How is he the alpha if he's so silly. "They are, aren't they? I sure am lucky. I'll let you get back to what you were working on." He says kissing the top of her head before leading us away. I smile at how cute he is, and glance at col to see him smiling too.
Before we can leave the kitchen a young woman stops us, "hello sir, it's wonderful to see you again. These were baked today, would you and your mates like some?" She asks after bowing her head and holding a tray of cookies on her hands.
"Yes, thank you very much Emmy. And please you don't have to call me sir. Feel free to call me whatever you like." She nods sheepishly, her cheeks slightly pink as the three of us each take a cookie.
"It's weird seeing you being so adored." Col mumbled with a cookie bite in his mouth making Nic roll his eyes.
"Oh shut up, I'm the alpha. They all look up to me. I can't help how they act around me. I ask them to be a little less formal but I don't think it'll ever change. Besides I'd like to think you two feel the same way towards me, hopefully a little more." He mutter before biting his cookie making col laugh.
"Nope, I don't admire you in the slightest." He smirks and Nic rolls his eyes again. "But I do love you." Col adds and Nic's face turns slightly red.
"Shut up, come on my brother is waiting in my office for us." He turns and leads us upstairs and down a wide hallway. There's several other doors some open showing bedrooms and some where kids are running through playing. The hall itself is decorated with art on the walls and the occasional end table with either a pot or a vase of flowers in it. Over all the whole house is very open to the outside and I don't think anyone cares.
