Chapter Seven

With an alarm blaring around the air, the five wizards with a Sabertooth mark embedded into their skin sprint swiftly and quickly up the steps and straight into the large labyrinth in the sky. Akuma's eyes gazing around as she stays behind them all.

Watching as other guilds sprint up, some falling behind while some run out of breathe halfway up the stairs. Hana rolling her eyes before catching up to her comrades, having lagged behind as she searched for the boy whose hair is tightly grasped within her right hand.

She also can see the field where she was speaking to Z with earlier on that day, where she knows he no-longer is awaiting her till the next night. But perhaps he might move his location.

Rufus keeps his fingers pressed against his temples as he slowly leads the other four through the maze. His memory remembering each path they take, stopping them from taking the same path twice. Hana's toes curling as she watches quite a few guilds back off when they came close to herself and her comrades.

"I spot a Natsu-san who looks worried!" Sting chuckles, teasing Natsu who's ears twitch as he halts, trying to pinpoint the voice that's taunting him, yet failing to do so.

"Rufus... How long? I happen to be bored of this already." Hana mutters just as the floor they stand on being the quack and shake before the ground begins to twirl around, causing many participants to fall off to a painful crunch for their bones when they hit the floor.

Screams and yells of agony reach Hana's ears as a internal grimace for them. – Not for the participants, but for her ears. Rufus, Yukino, Sting and Rogue easily jump to the upside of the path, stopping them from falling to the floor.

Hana on the other hand stayed completely still the entire time, the shaking not bothering her as tingles spread against her feet. "Adapt." She mutters quickly, her whole feet scaling over and morphing into talons which grip the path firmly underneath.

"Keep up with up, Hana!" Sting calls out, sprinting still on the upside of the path while Hana follows underneath, her sharp talons gripping into the path as she follows them silently. The ribbon wrapping around her ankles and talons fluttering wildly as the group finally reach a one way path.

Their surroundings looking like a canvas painting. Hana finally joining her comrades on the upside as they quickly sprint along the one path towards the large 'End' sigh that hangs above a dazzling door. The mascot who appeared in the sky before standing there awaiting them the moment they stop.

"Congratulations on coming first place Sabertooth! You may all go back to your hotel to rest and relax till the games later on today!" The mascot calls, extremely happy even though it's past midnight. Hana's feet turning back to normal the moment the door closes behind them.

"That was too easy." Sting grumbles, bending his elbows in the air and folding his hands behind his head. Rogue grunts, Hana ruffles his hair softly with the hand, not holding Natsu's hair.

Rufus and Yukino walking at their sides as they reach the doors of Crocus Gardens, their hotel. "The games begin in a few hours. Sting. They should be more exciting." Rufus states lightly, leading the group up to their room.

Hana yawning softly as they enter. Ker's ears perking high as Sting takes Lector, Rogue taking Frosche. Getting dressed, and ready, sliding into bed. All besides Hana who pushes open the balcony window and leaning against the railing.

Ker joining her silently, giving a questionable look up to her partner whose eyes are trained firmly on the salmon hair within her fingers. Ker using her paws and teeth to slide the door closed.

"Ker... That boy we met earlier today. He seems... familiar... Yet just like my past... Any form of memories revolving around him have gone..." She mutters, quietly allowing Ker to hear, yet, no-one else. Well, hopefully, yet the dragon slayers should be fast asleep.
