protectiveness took over dan as he reached behind and took her arm starting to lead her away from the stranger.
"dan, he's coming," she picked up the pace and so did he until they were basically running.
they ran to her house, locking the door.
"i don't see him," dan panted as he looked out the window of her room.
"you can stay here," she stood next to him and wearily glanced out the window.
"are you sure?" he asked, gulping down air.
"yes," she nodded, having trouble breathing as well.
