19. Instagram Drama

*Beth's POV*

I woke up the following day. I checked my Twitter and Facebook and finally my Instagram. I had my notifications turned off for Instagram because I find them truly annoying.

I opened my Instagram to find hundreds of likes and comments on my recent picture that I posted with Simon. How did people find that picture. Obviously I tagged him in it and he liked it but that many people wouldn't have noticed it. People were making a huge deal out of it. People were also clueless.

Some of the comments read, bearing in mind the caption was 'new best friend':

'WTF, Why is Simon with a girl in a park at midnight?'

'Are you dating?'

'SIMON HAS A GIRLFRIEND WTF.'

They're only 3 of the many comments I had. I was beginning to question humanity and people's intelligence. The caption clearly said 'friend'. The worst part about it was that I was starting to get hate for something so stupid.

I looked on Simon's Instagram to see if he posted anything. He hadn't. But his comments were also blowing up.

I decided to text him as I wasn't sure where he was or if he was recording.
'Have you seen what's happening?'
Just as I was about to send it, there was a knock at the bedroom door.

"Are you decent?"

It was Simon.

"Yes, just come in."

He walked in and sat on my bed, well Vik's bed. He looked at me before saying "we need to tidy this mess up."

"Agreed!"

"Maybe try post a picture saying that were just friends and if that doesn't work we will make a video." Simon suggested.

"We?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah it'll make it more believable."

I nodded then proceeded to post a new picture claiming that me and Simon are just friends. I even pointed out that the caption of my previous photo said 'best friend'. Hopefully this would work.
