Angela POV

I wake up to complete silence,usually I hear Lena laughing or Morrison arguing with Reyes,but no. Just complete silence,now I think of two possible scenarios.

A zombie outbreak turned everyone into zombies and I'm the only survivor,or it's because it's my birthday. I'm thinking is more the second one.

I sigh and get out if bed,I brush my teeth,shower, and I dress up in my under suit wear,just in case we have an emergency mission. It makes everything a lot faster and easier.

I look at the clock and remember what Lúcio said. He wanted me to go to the cafeteria at 4:00 pm. I look at the time and it's 5:32 am.

My day was normal except I saw almost no one today,the front desk lady was there,saw Morrison a few times,but that was basically it. It was really boring,paperwork.

It's already 3:55. 5 minuets until the 'party', so I get up and decide to head down already. I guess they will have to expect me early, I walk out my door and head down to the cafeteria.

when I enter the cafeteria the lights are off, huh. I turn on the lights and everyone jumps out.

"Surprise!" They all say in unison, aww that's just heartwarming. I've never had a surprise birthday party.

Lúcio runs up to me and hugs me, " Every birthday girl needs a party." He says and I smile.

"Thanks Lúcio." I say as he stops hugging me.

It wasn't like a rave party, more like a coworker party. Lots and lots of talking. I cant complain though, Lúcio does make good jokes. Jesse was there too and it was kind of awkward but we managed to make small talk , it turns out he is a lot like lucio.

"One more year and you can drink." Lucio says. I roll my eyes.

"Even if I can drink, I probably wont." I say, when I got my first communion, I hated the way the wine tasted, I don't know if it "real" wine but either way I didn't like it.

"Don't jinx yourself." Jesse says and lucio and I laugh.

As it turns out,Jesse doesn't want to get with me. Him,Lúcio, and I have become all good friends. We have our own little squad now.

Everyone is talking and I look around for Reyes, probably trying to keep his edgy appearance. I'm just gonna look for him.

"I'm just gonna take a break for a bit." I say and place my cup on the counter.

I walk out and see Reyes leaning on the wall like his edgy self. He sees me and grins a bit,"So you're 20 now." He says and I grin.

"An I still a prostitute?" I ask and smile.

"Yeah,still sorry about that." He says.

"Why aren't you at the party?" I ask. he looks down at me and his grin fades. Uh oh.

"I have to tell you something."

At first I'm like, is he gonna say he loves me? But telling by his facial expression I start to worry a bit. Ok I start to worry a lot.

"Overwatch is branching out and making blackwatch,a new organization." He says. Ok,ok I'm prepping myself for the big impact.

"They want me to lead it." He says.

So? Whats so bad about that?

"Whats the catch?" I ask and he tries to avoid eye contact with me.

"I'm being placed at a different watchpoint. I'm not gonna see you as much as I do now." He says placing his hand behind his head.

"I don't care, at least we will still be on the battlefield together. Right?" I ask and he stays silent. I'll just take that as a no from him.

"Oh.." I say and look down.

"Look,im sorry angela." He says hugging me.

"We'll still see eachother when you have meetings here, or is that also a no." I say as he lets me go.

"Yeah,ill still see you around when I have meetings here." He says smiling awkwardly.

"When do you leave?" I ask.

"Tonight." He replies.

"I'm gonna miss you." I say and his smile turns into a tiny grin.

We both stay silent for a bit.

A small tear falls down my face, Gabriel wipes it away and we are left staring at each other,it seems awkward but I didn't want it to end.

He pulls me in for a kiss,I blush like a rose. I'm surprised and a bit satisfied,I've been wanting this for so long. I feel complete with Reyes,in love.

He wraps his arm around me,although the kiss only lasted for like 10 seconds,it still felt magical to me.

When it ends Im dumbfounded, he is also blushing.

"I'm really am gonna miss you Angela." He says caressing my cheek. I grin, I place my hand on his.

"You too." I say.

He places his hand down and kisses me on my forehead,"Happy birthday." He says and I smile.

"I got you this." He says and pulls a tiny box from his pocket,it's not wrapped,just a tiny box. Do I really care right now about wrapping paper?

He hands me the tiny box and he nudges me too open in,inside is a bracelet. I look at the bracelet,it's a chain with engravings on the little clasps.

I smile,"Thank you." I say and he puts the bracelet on my wrist. It truly was beautiful,not too much engraving, not too little.

"On the battle field you can put it around your ankle." He says. And I raise an eyebrow.

"How did you get my ankle size?" I ask and he chuckles.

"The folders say everything." He replies and I chuckle as well.

"I have to go get ready now,and I bet they wonder where you are right now." He says and I nod in agreement,we have been out here for like 20 minuets.

"Goodnight, Angela."

"Goodnight, Gabriel." I say and watch him walk down the hallway.

I walk back to the party,Lúcio and Jesse don't question me and I sigh in releif. The party ends and I head back to my room.

I lay in my bed and stare at the bracelet,I love it.
