Doctors

Maya and her mom are getting ready to go when they hear a knock at the door
"I'll get it!" Maya yells
"Oh I forgot to tell you the appointment was moved back to 5:30" Maya informs him
"Oh that explains why your in a towel" Lucas says
"Yeah that explains" Maya says
"Maya who was- oh hi Lucas I guess this your the father" Katy says
"Maya didn't tell you" Lucas asks
"Maya doesn't tell me anything till they show up to at the door. Or unless she gets pregnant" Katy says with a little laughter
"Hey watch it" Maya says a little offended
At the doctors
"Maya Hart!" A lady yells from a door
"That's me, mom you coming" Maya says
"Yeah" Katy answers
"Lucas you can wait out here until I call you in" Maya says
"Ok"
I'm the room (2 minutes later)
"Ok Maya you can put your pants back on and I'll be right back" the doctor says
"Ok is it ok if Lucas comes in" Maya asks
"Yes I'll call him in" the doctors says and calls Lucas in the room
"Hey how did it go" Lucas says walking in
"Fine she'll be back and then we will find out how far along I am" Maya says
The doctor comes back in.
"Ok if you want to follow me to this room so we can talk about options" The doctors says leading them to a room with 3 chairs everyone sits down and the doctor starts to talk
"Ok so your about 5 weeks, 5 and a half at the most" the doctors says
"Do you know when I'll start showing" Maya asks
"Um it depends some people come start showing around 6 weeks but I don't think that you will" doctor says
"Is that a bad thing" Maya says in worry
"No it just because of your weight now and how skinny you are and because your age, not to offend you sorry if I did" the doctor says
"No you didn't your fine" Maya says
"Great so should we start talking about options" the doctor says
"Yes" Maya answers
"Ok well the first that we can discuss is abortion sense it dose have a time limit" The doctor says
"Abortion isn't something that I feel comfortable doing" Maya says
"Ok well that's ok if that's totally off the table we can talk about adoption" the doctor says
"Yes it is" Maya confirms
"When you go into the adoption process you pick the family that will take the baby when it's born and will have to sign papers saying that you've given up your legal rights to the child and right when you sigh that paper all of your legal rights will be given up but both mom and dad have to sigh I'm guessing your the father" she says looking at Lucas
"Yes I am" Lucas replies
"Yeah so what if I sigh this paper and I figure it's not what I want" Maya asks
"Well you could get your legal rights back but it is really hard. The people that you give the child to would have to agree and sigh the rights back to you. But do keeps in mind that it's not what you want it's what the child needs"
"Well what do you think" Lucas asks
"Every case is different weather your an adult which you are because your 18 or weather your just a kid who may or my not have made a mistake it's more of weather you believe you can do it or not but support is the one thing you need besides food and water"
"What do you mean when you say 'may or may not a mistake'" Maya asks
"In my opinion having a child at any age isn't a mistake but others believe it is but what other people believe when you are carrying a child it's more of what you believe" the doctor says
"Well thank you for everything but I think we need to talk about it" Maya says
"Ok well when you make a decision I can help with it and I'll call you for your next appointment in probably about 2 weeks" The doctors says
They leave the doctors and goes home.
