I stood infront of the oven, making a grilled cheese for Kyle. Honestly, that's all he ever really eats. I set it on a plate and handed it to Kyle.

"Thanks Erin." Kyle said with a smile. I smiled back and nodded, sitting next to him in the couch. Then the phone rang.

"I got it." I said before answering the phone. "Hello?" I said, twirling the curly wire with my finger.

"Hey Erin! This is Mike!"  I heard Mike say from the other line.

"Oh, hi Mike!" I said. I heard Kyle gasp. He then ran into the kitchen, where the other phone is that's connected to the wall. He then grabbed the phone and put it to his ear so he could listen to our conversation.

"Hi Mike!" Kyle said from the separate line. Both Mike and I could hear the excitement in his voice.

"Hey kiddo!" Mike said in a happy tone. "Wanna spend a day with Billie and Tre?" Mike asked. I got a confused look ok my face. Before I could ask why, Kyle accepted.

"YES!" Kyle shouted. He then hung up his line of the phone and ran off, probably to get ready.

"What was that all about?" I asked with confusion.

"Well, this new record store opened up in town, so I was wondering if you wanted to go check it out with me?" He asked. It'd be cool, but neither me or Kyle own a record player.

"I'd love that, Mike, but I don't own a record player. Only a CD player." I said with disappointment.

"I was thinking you might say that." Mike replied. "Don't worry about it, Erin. If you find anything you like, I can get you a record player." He said. I could almost hear him smiling on the other end.

"Aw, Mike. I can't let you do that. That's too much money over someone like me." I replied.

"No, I don't care what you say, whatever your heart desires, it's on me. No ifs ands or buts." He said. I sighed and gave in.

"So basically Billie and Tre are babysitting Kyle?" I asked. I wasn't too sure about this. I mean, they're cool and all, but I dunno. I hate to be one to judge, but I just don't feel completely comfortable with Kyle in they're hands. He can be a bit of a hand full, especially if he's going to be babysat by his favorite band, the men that he has fantasied about for four years.

"Yeah. I know what you're thinking, and yes I've already thought about that. Don't worry, though. Billie's wife, Adrienne will be there. Kyle will be ok." Mike assured. I sighed, then nodded my head.

"Um okay. Yeah sure. I guess you could come pick us up in about an hour or so." I said. I gave him our address so he could know where to find us. "Alright, see ya then Mike."

"Okay, later Erin." Mike said before hanging up. I out the phone down and sighed.

I basically just made a date with a punk rockstar who I just met yesterday. Well then. That's a first. I got up and walked to my room to put on some better clothes. I ended up wearing some jeans, a green and black striped baggy tee shirt, and some original white and black Adidas superstars. I quickly put my hair into a ponytail, and was ready in no time. One of the upsides of hating makeup is that it doesn't consume any of my time.

Kyle ran into my room as I was sitting on my bed. He was wearing jeans with a huge hole in the left knee, a plain black tee shirt, brown converse, and he had spiked his hair. The hair spiking thing is starting to become pretty common.

"How do I look?" He asked. He twirled around in a feminine way which made me laugh.

"You look fine. It's not like you're going on a date." I said as I rolled my eyes with a smile.

"Hah! You're going on a date, though!" He said with a mischievous grin.

"Wait, what?" I asked a bit concerned.

"You're going on a date with Mike! I heard the entire conversation! Remember, I have a phone in my room so I could listen to everything!" He said with a sly smile. I really need to take that phone out of his room.

"Okay, yeah I'm hanging out with Mike, but it's not a date." I said.

"Whatever." Kyle chuckled as he exited my room.
