Chapter 3

Anirudh knew things have turned worse. Anika wasn't his real Anika just now. He understood well that she still couldn't get over the incident , but she had to move on. All he wanted was for a happy family and he's trying hard to build it.

He didn't know what was Anika up to until she acted that way. He felt guilty for slapping his wife. Of course , that was the thing he never wanted to do in his entire life.

He parked his car in the porch and got out of it , still thinking about the drama happened in Anika's house. Life's totally an unpredicted one. He stepped into the house and saw his mom watching her favourite tv reality show.

He quickly climbed up the staircase as he didn't wanna disturb anyone and wanted to be alone.

"Ani boy! I need to talk to you" his mom's voice called out for him which made Anirudh to stop his way.

He turned around and walked down to the living room. Looking at this , his mom instructed him to sit on the sofa.

"What did you do to Anika ?" his mom asked , quite sternly.

"What do you mean by that ?"Anirudh asked.

"Don't act as if you don't know anything. Why did you do that to Anika?!" his mom yelled.

"Maa ?" Anirudh asked unsurely.

"Look Ani, I know that you've slapped Anika. Why did you that ?! Answer me! True man who raise his hand to a woman!" his mom shouted again.

Anirudh didn't predict his mom to shout at him. That was the first time. He has only seen the soft side of his mom , not this.

"Maa , I have my own explanations. Try understanding my situation maa!" Anirudh stated , half yelling.

"What? Look! I know you better than anyone else. Answer me just once! Why did you slap my girl?!" Lakshmi stood up from the sofa and roared.

"Maa! She's my wife! And I have the rights to do anything!" Anirudh fight against his mom.

"This is not the way I brought you up , Ani! My son won't raise his hand to a woman" His mom said, shirked.

"Yes, you're right maa. But things just made me to lash out my temper. I didn't know how to shut anika's mouth. She was hurting me with her words." Anirudh said, weepingly.

"But this is not the right way to shut someone's mouth. Why didn't you think before executing it. Do you know how hurtful it will be to her now?" His mom said, bursting out her temper.

"Maa, please! I feel guilty for doing it. Never in my life i wished to do this. She was being like a small kid, not understanding our situation. She haven't still forgot about the incident. I'm trying myself to build up my family into a happiness one but nothing seemed to be stable." Anirudh said, concernedly.

"Ani, my boy ! Don't lose yourself. As a women I really can feel anika's depression. I know how hard it is come out from such a terrible incident. One thing you can do is bring anika out from her house, the place where she is staying in. Anika's mind is fixed all about aaradhya, make her to realize that she already have a baby. I'm not saying this for my sake or for your sake, I'm saying this for arav's growth. You can itself see in your own eyes how much he miss anika. Every child needs their mom, beside them always. It's hard to control mom's love in a person's heart." Anirudh's mom explained, soothing anirudh's back.

Anirudh turned around and looked at his mom in shock. He never thought his mom would explain him to bring anika out from the place and live in a different place. Not all in laws would be this kind heart. Anirudh was with lack of words as he was also in the same thought of bringing anika out.
