Chapter 7

She turned around and fixed her gaze at anirudh but he shrunk away,turning his body back.

"I didn't mean to take those tablets. But I had no other clue, taking it in for me to sleep peacefully and forget things." Anika said, earnestly.

"Forget things? What sort of things?" Anirudh asked, turning around to face anika.

"Forget aradhaya, forget her memories." Anika said.

"GREAT ! Great anika, all these days and weeks you have been acting that you're completely recovered? You lied to me, You weren't real to me." Anirudh said, without breaking a silence.

"No ani, I didn't lie to you. I was real to you.It's just that I didn't wanted to share this with you and make you upset again. I didn't wanted a life how i was going through a few months back." Anika said, weepingly.

"So, that you'll take sleeping pills to cure your sickness? And you do know what's written in that description. Anika, are you that dumb?" Anirudh said, raising his voice.

"I know what was written in that description and i even know what will happen to me if I take it regularly.But it's not that, I take it only when I'm depressed. If that medicine works heavily then it's meant that I have to leave arav." Anika said, looking up at anirudh.

"And go !" Anika said, pressing it harder and looked down.

Anirudh starred at anika, angrily. Her last word 'go' broke his heart like a sharp needle. He didn't know how to make anika understand the fact, he was tired of all the shits which was happening.

Despite, he couldn't control his patience level and his temper was flaring. Anirudh pursed his lip hard and raised his hand. Anika closed her eyes, knowing what was going to happen.

But anirudh was pulled away as he came back to his sense and stopped what he was going to execute. Immediately, he turned back, not able to meet her gaze.

"Why, did you stop Ani. Just slap me and kill me by your hands. Kill me !" Anika said, grabbing anirudh's hand.

Anirudh took away his hand from anika and hesitated to look at her.

"Enough, Anika ! Everything has its limit.I believed you truly and I was happy that I proved my parents that I can take care of you.I'm just hating to see your face now. I hate you."
Anirudh said, seriously.

Anika's heart sank down. It was the very first time anirudh have said the word 'hate'. She have never thought in her life that anirudh would just say it out. She stood there like a statute, with tears flowing down. It was a deep heart attack for her to digest it.

Unwillingly, anirudh splitted that word out from his mouth and rushed his feet to leave the house. He didn't say it out from bottom of his heart because he know how much he loves anika and there is no way for him to hate her.

He thought this would make anika understand things well.Of course he felt guilty for trying to slap her again.

Anika sat down on the floor, thinking deeply. Everythings have turned worse. All were beyond her thought. She understood well that she was the one who made anirudh hate her by doing stupid things.

She didn't know how she was going to convince anirudh, she wondered where must have anirudh went now.

After a few minutes, anika stood up and cleaned her room. She realized her mistakes and threw the other sleeping pills bottles into the disturb which she had in reserve.

She decided to herself that she will not repeated any of this again.She settled her mind to be a real wife to anirudh, and a real mother to aravind. Her dignity killed her.
