I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on the door. At first, I thought I was back in my own bed at home. But I opened my eyes and reality punched me in the face. I was laying on the hard, cold tile in the janitors closet. How did I get here? I turned my head toward the door and whoever was behind it was now banging and yelling. I assumed it was a man because of his deep voice.
" Hello? " He yelled. " Is anyone in there?"
I sat up and blinked dumbly. My body felt extremely weird." Uh, yeah?"
" Open the door." he demanded, strictly.
I pushed myself up but that was a bad idea. I felt an extremely excruciating pain shoot up my arm and I stumbled back down. My arm was bleeding, and Im not talking just small blood caused by a paper cut. There was this hole in my skin and it was deep and it was bleeding. Bad.I was surrounded by a pool of my blood. It's weird I can't remember anything. Exactly, what happened?
"Hurry up, boy."
" Uh...er..I..ah," I stuttered. I had to think, fast. Could I just leave the mess here? The janitor would think I was some kind of suicidal teenager.
"What's taking so long? I don't have much time. I left my keys in there and I was headed to get a new set until I heard a scream. Could you just open the door now?"
Did I scream? I looked around and my eyes landed on a knife- the knife, that I stabbed myself with? I was confused, if I did do it, then why? Anyway, I just couldn't stay in here forever. I slowly opened the door.
His eyes went wide. "Oh my," he breathed in. He panicked, while I stood still contemplating on what he would do, and how I could get out of this. "You," he pointed at me, " You stay here- dont move. I'm coming back with help." The next minute he was gone and I was left alone again.
I took that chance to run. I couldn't get anyone involved in this. Tomorrow, I had to act like nothing happened.
