When I woke up I looked around the room, three boys sat in different spots all around the room watching me or sleeping lazily. My eyes widened, I identified them one by one. It was Bryant, James, and Richard. I blinked roughly.

They all looked up one by one. My blood ran cold and face pale.

"What's going on?" I mumbled. Bryant was the one that got up first, he walked to me and pulled me up by my hands.

"They came." He looked down at me seriously.

Who came? I thought.

"The Night-Runners, they came to vampire territory and attacked last night. We need you there now, there's no more time to train and wait."

His features looked hard and cynical, his eyes were blazing red and huge, it still freaked me out a little. I glanced at the others, they looked a lot more comfortable here than when I saw them at their place.

James was stretched out on top of my pile of stuffed animals – I'm older now so I was going to give them away of course. He watched me upside down. His eyes were just as red but his expression was softer toward me.

"Come on Princess, no more Misses nice mortal. It's time to put on your battle gear." James chuckled and got up from my stuffed animals. I blinked roughly and before I knew it I was standing on Vampire territory with black leather suited shirt and pants.

"What..." I looked down at my hands, there was a chain in it.

James looked at me up and down in approval just like Scott had.

I blushed, James walked to me and whispered strained, "Look around."

I did, and I didn't like what I saw. Each and every house was torn down, the hut in which the hole to the tunnel was broken and no one was there.

"What happened?" I said shocked. Bryant was growling behind me.

"The Night-Runners happened, you see why we need you now. We are mostly stronger than them but nothing could kill them but silver and alcohol smells, and that wasn't enough." He looked around infuriated.

"We couldn't teleport fast enough, they caught most of us and took us for food, and we're stronger than them but they had a stronger ally... The Cat people." Richard added solemnly.

I was horrified.

"Who's the Night-Runners? The Cat people? This doesn't make sense, I've lived in a world where the scariest things there are, are tax increase, and gas prices. But this just doesn't add up." I said confused and desperately holding on to James sleeve. "I'm not strong enough to help if a whole tribe of Vampires couldn't! What makes you think I can?" I growled scared and shaking, they were all staring at me like they expected something was about to happen.

My eyes felt watery and irritated.

"Look..." Bryant whispered.

I rubbed my eye. "What?"

James smiled, "You're starting the change."

"I'm what?" I sniffled.

Bryant stopped growling and smiled a little. "She'll change by next month, we have to start training and teaching now."

"My Birthday isn't for another two months..." I said. "I'm not Turning yet."

James pulled my hand away from my eye. "Turning takes months, and your eyes have changed already. Your skin too, but its not the looks that make you a vampire, it's the strength to fight, the speed, agility, and power that comes with them." He wiped a tear from my cheek.

"We can do this. We can train her. But first we need to hide her and break all connections of her being a human." Richard said.

I looked up sadly. "But what about my brother? I can't leave him."

"Well he's related by blood to, he becomes a vampire as well, and we have to train him too." James smiled and kissed my cold hands. I blushed a little.

"And we've hidden people before, it won't take long to make up a story." Richard explained, "I don't know if you've noticed but I'm a wizard at technology. Plus I can forge a good signature when I want to." He grinned.

"So it's settled. Pack your bags, Megan, we're going to California." Bryant answered. I smiled.

James held my hand, "Are you ready, Megan?" I stared at our hands for many moments. I gave him a little smile.

"As I'll ever be."

----Quick and cheap ending right? Lots of holes and unanswered questions? Well, that's that. I originally put "To Be Continued" at the end of my document, but for this story, for now, this is the end of Megan's story. Until she comes back in "The Night Run" which should have more quality. I want to leave this story off as original as it was when I first wrote it so I have references and memories to help improve my writing as I progress throughout the years. I hope you leave your thoughts and criticisms in the comments below, though I know its not my best work, I want to know what you as an individual thought of it. I hope you enjoyed or at least got a good laugh or maybe even learned a little bit. I really hope you'll stick with me as a growing writer and share your stories or your favorite stories with me. Ummm, that's it I guess. Stay awesome, bye bye! ^_^----
