She rode forward, with her head held high and radiating an aura of confidence.
But inside?
She was a turmoil. Questions of complexity swiveled in her mind.
Was it right to do this? Would she be able to do it?
She didn't know.
Neither did she know it would change her life forever.
But still she rode forward trying to rest the turmoil inside her head.
Marching toward the custom that had been carried in her family for as long as she could remember.
She was finally eligible for this custom for she had looked forward to it ever since she had known of its existence.
Questions once again made their way inside her head.
Would she be able to do it like her family had?
She did not know . But she willed herself to believe that she would.
They came into her view. Standing straight with an aura of confidence and authority.
They made her nervous inside but she still strode on confidently.
She was willing to do this.
The hall hushed with her entrance. Everyone straightened.
The ceremony was to begin.
The moment had finally come.
The moment she had anticipated for so long .
She would finally be blessed with her family's tradition.
They announced her name and the ceremony begin.
She felt nervousness creeping up to her but she ignored it.
As the ceremony took its course she felt better, proud even.
Then the moment came when the ceremony was over. She was finally blessed.
But little did she know this blessing soon wouldn't be a blessing anymore. Not when she would meet the love of her life here and have a daughter; Cara.
