We cross over to a dripping cavern. Two curtains of clear, cold water poured over a ridge in the rock. We came across another wooden hut where Sans was sat. There was a little monster kid in a striped shirt stood there too. There was another monster stood next to a glowing blue flower. The monster explained that it was an echo flower. It would repeat the last thing in heard. We talked to Sans, who invited us to Grillby's. We agreed and followed him. Everyone there knew Sans. The dogs were all there too. Katie and Lucy went over to them and talked to them. They were petted and they pet the dogs. I sat with Sans. We ordered some food and talked about Papyrus. Then, Sans became serious. "oh yeah, i wanted to ask you something. have you ever heard of a talking flower?" He asked. I shuddered. I knew who he meant. I felt Charlotte's hand on my shoulder. "Tell him the truth." She advised. I nodded. "so, you know all about it. the echo flower. they're all over the marsh. say something and they'll repeat over and over..." He said. "What about it?" I ask. "well, papyrus told me something interesting the other day. sometimes, when no one else is around... a flower appears and whispers things to him. flattery... advice... encouragement..." He paused, taking a sip of ketchup. "...predictions. weird, huh? someone must be using an echo flower to play a trick on him. keep an eye out, ok? thanks." He said. I nodded. My teeth had clenched in my jaw. Flowey. How dare it. Papyrus. Sans tried to drop the bill on us but, by the look on my face he knew I couldn't afford the price he said. He told Grillby to stick our food on his tab. I was grateful. I rounded up the others and we moved onwards.
We made our way back to the start of waterfall. We all saved. "The sound of rushing water fills you with determination, patience and bravery." Charlotte whispered. We explored waterfall. It was beautiful. We looked through telescopes and wondered around. We came across some weird grass. We hid in it. Above, we heard the tones of Papyrus. He was talking to another person. After he left, I tripped and caused the grass to sway. We heard a gasp. Clanking metal made its way to us. We stayed still, hoping it would pass by us. It stopped and a whooshing sound was heard. Then a small plonk. The clanking moved away from us. We ran out of the grass. Monster kid followed us. "Yo, did you see that... Undyne just... Touched me! I'm never washing my face ever again. Man, are you guys unlucky. If you were standing just a little bit to the left... Anyway let's go see her beat up some bad guys." And with that he ran off, only to trip. He got up and sped away. After that, we came across a box. I found a pair of ballet shoes in there. I kept them. We left and found another friend. Her name was Georgina. Her long chestnut brown hair was swept up into a bun on the top of her head and she wore an old, pink tutu. Her sapphire eyes sparkled in the low light of the caves. She had no shoes on, so I gave her the ballet shoes. She gave us a twirl in them. We continued through waterfall. We came across a bunch of echo flowers. They were an exchange in conversion. "So... Don't you have any wishes to make?" The first voice asked. "...hmm...just one, but...it's kind of stupid." The second voice said, a little said. "Don't say that! C'mon, I promise I won't laugh." The first voice said. "...hmm...if I say my wish... You promise you won't laugh at me?" The second voice asked, sceptical. "Of course I won't laugh!" The first voice said, confidently. "Someday, I'd like to climb this mountain we're all buried under. Standing under the sky, looking at the world all around... That's my wish." The second voice said. They sounded so thoughtful. The flower had strains of laughter. "...hey, you said you wouldn't laugh at it!" The second voice said, a little hurt. "Sorry, it's just funny...that's my wish too." The first voice said. I let out a little sigh. I'll make sure you see your wish come true. I promised the two voices. Along the way, we found an old statue. It was being rained on. "It looks sad." Georgina said. "This shouldn't be here. This should be... It's...broken." Charlotte whispered. I ran out and found an umbrella stand with a few umbrellas in. I took one back to the statue. I put it up over the statue. A music box played inside it. Charlotte walked over to it. She stroked the cold, damp stone. She started to sing a song. "Are your memories still all there? The smell of the surface air, the wind blowing through our hair, you promised we'd both be theirs." Her voice started to break halfway through her song as tears poured down her cheeks. I gave her a hug. I let her go and she hugged the statue. She whispered apologies to it. "I didn't want you to die, my Sophie. Please never again follow me. I'll see you very soon. I promise." She said. She wiped her face and we continued. We ran into monster kid again and walked with him. We came to a ridge. He helped us all up over it. "What about you? We can pull you up." I offer. "Don't worry dude. I'll find my own way up." He assured us. Undyne found us again and chased us. We reached a dead end and she cut us off from the rest of the path. We all fell below.
We awoke in a garbage dump. We explored it. Walking the path in front of us, we came across another Dummy. I try to fight it but choose not to. We were just about to leave when it stopped us. "Hahaha... Too intimidated to fight me, huh!? I am a ghost that lives inside a Dummy." It kept talking but we were a little bit bored. Until the fight ensued. Georgina leapt away as me and Lucy fought side by side. "Mad Dummy blocks the way." Charlotte informed us. We rolled our eyes. We battle it constantly. We used its own attacks against it until we were saved by the ghost we fought in the Ruins. After a while, we wonder again, learning more about the history of the Monsters. We came across a strange line in the legend. "'The Angel... The one who has seen the surface shall come and the Underground will go empty.' Do they mean Sophie?" I heard Charlotte ponder. We shrug and move on. We find another store; they were selling a book and glasses. I bought them both. Just in case. In a small room filled with lanterns, after lighting them, we found a hidden path to a village. There were strange creatures there. "Temmie village! I love this place. I used to come down here all the time with..." She started. She looked down, so none of us pressed her for more info. I save. "You feel...something. You are filled with detemmienation." Charlotte giggled. I grind a bunch of money and we all pull together to help a tem go to college and get a degree. We found out that we could get tem armour. It was ridiculously expensive. So, we lost a lot of battles and got the price of it down to we could afford it. In the end we got it. I kept it so I could use it. We decided to leave tem village afterward.
After exploring everywhere, we came to a dark room. It had a single echo flower in it. "Behind you." Was its message. We turned around to see a ferocious character in silver armour. We assumed that this was who we had heard so much about. Undyne. They approached us with a single blue spear. Suddenly, out from a patch of tall grass, shot Monster Kid. He was so excited to see Undyne fight, that he didn't realise who she was fighting until he saw our little group. He was then dragged away by Undyne. We checked the grass, only to find another friend. Her name was Lilah. She was short with honey coloured hair and beautiful brown eyes. She wore a white shirt, a dark green skirt and a pair of plimsolls. She had no weapon and no defence so I loaned her the tem armour. We pressed onwards. We stop outside a small stone archway. On the top, stood Undyne. She engaged us in battle. Georgina and Lilah pushed the rest of us out of the way. "Stay back. This is our fight." They said in sync. They were battling it out until they were free to run away. As they started running, we followed behind them. They were caught by Undyne, only to escape again. We continued to run away, only for me to get a call from Papyrus to ask if I want to hang out with Papyrus and Undyne. We run away, passing a sign saying 'welcome to hotland' and past Sans in another wooden sentry post. Undyne stopped pursuing us to grumble at Sans. This gave us the upper hand. We sped down a wooden rope bridge over hot magma. At the end of the bridge was a water cooler. We had stopped there to rest when Undyne caught up to us. She was panting like crazy. She tried to step forwards but ended up on the floor. Lilah ran over to her. "She's too hot!" She said panicked. I grabbed a cup and poured some water into it. I poured it over Undyne to cool her down. She began to stir. We gave her some space. She then walked away, as if nothing happened. "Okay then. We save her life and she just walks away." I sigh. "Best not let it get to you." Charlotte said. I hummed in agreement. "Come on, guys. We have a friend to meet." I say. And another to gain. I thought to myself.
