Today I decided to go to work, even though I’m not supposed to show up until the baby is about a few months but I can’t help it. I love what I do and I hate being away from it. Besides trinity went to school and my mother has Malik so I know he all good. I am just so excited to go back to work today. Also today is a very special day for me, it’s actually my 24 birthday and me and Quentin’s anniversary, I hope he didn’t forget thou. I put on my Minnie mouse scrubs, put my hair in a high pony and was on my way out the door. I feel like this is my first day all over again. Before I went to work, I had to make a stop, since I’m in a good mood I might as well get something’s off my chest. I pulled up to the gym and got out walking to the desk.
“Hey Jean” I said hugging her she looked surprised to see me.
“OMG Trina is that you” she said and I nodded. “I can’t believe it, you looking good and you already dropped yo baby weight” she said
“Girl I wish, I feel like I weigh more after I had Malik” I said and we laughed.
“Happy Birthday” she said and I gave her a confused look. “Oh Quentin makes me mark it on all the calendars so nobody forgets” she said and I kind of blushed.
“Thank you” I said smiling. I never knew he did that. That is so sweet.
“So what are yall gone do since it is your birthday and anniversary” she said and I shrugged, I didn’t even know we was gone celebrate today.
“Speaking of my husband, is he here today?” I asked
“Actually no, but he should be on his way here. Did you want to wait or just leave a message for him” she said pulling out a piece a paper and pen.
“Ummm I’ll just call him later on, besides I’m almost late for work” I said looking at my phone clock.
“Okay, well it was good seeing you, don’t be a stranger to the gym” she said and I nodded walking out.
So much for that, oh well I’ll just call him on my lunch break. I honestly miss my Quentin, I don’t know what I was thinking when I sent those divorce papers to him, it was just to get him scared, they wasn’t even real.
I walked into work to be greeted by my coworkers, I guess they did miss me.
“Look what the cat drug in” my coworker Tami said “You should be at home with yo baby and husband” she added hugging me.
“I needed to get out of that house, it’s been too long” I said sitting on the desk
“I feel you girl, but I know you not gone work on yo birthday and anniversary?” she asking
“Naw not all day just a few hours. I’ll go home at lunch” I said shrugging picking up patients charts.
“I hope so, if I see yo ass after lunch, I’m gone drag yo ass outta here” she said and I nodded laughing, then she gave me another hug. “I missed you thou, but I got to get back to work, so see ya later chick” she said and walked away. I swear she is a mess. I took some of my charts and started to make my rounds, I looked down at a chart that stuck out. This can’t be the same one. I walked in the room to see him with all these machines and needles hooked up to him.

I was sitting on the couch waiting for her to come over. I’m happy we working this out, I mean I’m never gone forget what happened but I’m not gone be bitter and mad about it. I was making Philly cheese stakes when the bell rang. I had already took Bella to school, so everything was good. I opened the door so see somebody I really didn’t want to see standing there, I’m not that excited to see her, but when I opened the door, her body looked better than ever, but there were no feelings there.
