The power of the fox

Juniper:
I scowled. Tsuki was back. I readied my stance and helped Irelia up. I held her katana in one hand, she had given it to me and was now only armed with her daggers. I tossed it back to her. "No, I'm good with my sword and archery. You need something to protect yourself." I said. She nodded and we jumped into battle. Tsuki was laughing and jumping back whenever Jarred advanced. She held the girls neck tighter. The girl screamed and tears were streaming down her face. There were red gashes along her neck. I winced. Those would for sure scar. I groaned. All of this was my fault. I felt enraged. I was tired of everyone pushing and pulling me around, keeping me in the dark and treating me like I didn't belong. My whole life I had been an outcast and when I was ten, I walked away and never looked back. And now, when I had finally found a place where I belonged, where I could learn to control myself and live a normal life, this brat wanted to take it away from me and use me as a weapon, like I was an object and not a living, breathing being! "All I wanted was to lead a normal life!" I screeched and charged at Tsuki. Immediately, I was right at her face and I slashed my sword. She gasped and moved an inch. Instead of cutting her face, I got her arm. It was pretty deep and I landed in my feet for a millisecond before bolting at her again. She was forced to let go of the girl. Once The pressure released from her neck, blood started gushing out and Vlad squeezed his eyes shut and plugged his nose. He growled fighting with himself and I saw his fangs grow a fraction of an inch. Suddenly, he was gone. Irelia stopped fighting for a moment. "What happened back there, your eyes flashed and you were almost as fast as Vlad! You seemed ruthless!" She said. I narrowed my eyes at Tsuki and shook my head. "I still am." I said and raced away from her. I sensed her running further behind me, not able to fully catch up. I came at Tsuki with all I had again and saw Jarred and Irelia fighting along side me. I fought harder, faster, stronger. Miserable thoughts filled my head about my past, people rejecting me, treating me like trash, it fuelled my anger. I don't know at what point Jarred and Irelia stepped back, but I was fighting hard and by the time I snapped out of my rage, Tsuki was lying on the ground, blessing furiously. She was inching away from me and her clothes were all torn. I stopped. I don't want to go as far as kill her... "You have one minute to get yourself out of here, if not, then we will kill you." I snarled menacingly. My face was inches from hers and I stepped back. She started crawling away and I sheathed my sword. I spun around, my anger had died down, but I was still agitated. I Irelia and Jarred started towards me and Irelia's eyes suddenly widened. "Juniper!" She yelled, bringing out her katana. I sensed it at the same time she warned me. I whipped around and swung my sword sharply and Tsuki's whip glanced harmlessly off. I glared at her. "Don't tempt me." I scowled and she started scurrying away again. Jarred smirked. I see you figured out how to stay conscious... Congrats." He said looking impressed. I looked at Irelia. "Hmm?" I questioned. She gestured to a mirror on the wall. "Take a look." She said. I cautiously inched over and saw two sleek red and white ears sticking out of my head. I looked down and a fluffy red tail with a white end swaying back and forth under my cloak. I gasped. "I'm a... Fox?!" I say. Jarred nodded. "It looks like your a descendent of a fox demon. You see, the reason we are rare is because demons don't normally have children, and if they do, they normally die before they are born because they can't handle it. The strong ones survive though, but it's very difficult to survive a demon giving birth." Irelia nodded along. "So that means that you and Jarred are super strong." She confirms.

Irelia:
"You'll pay for this!" Tsuki cackled as she got up. Juniper turned around aggressively. "What did I say?!" She screamed. Tsuki maniacally smiled widely and waved her hand. She was trembling with all her wounds yet she managed to move and run away. I looked at Jared and sighed, I grunted as I felt my shoulder. "You saved us, I couldn't do anything." Jarred said graciously to juniper. She nodded, "I'm glad I can control myself now." I nodded weakly. Vlad dropped down next to me, "I'm not okay, I need help." He whispered and then began pacing around us. Juniper looked concerned at Vlad. "Vlad..?" She asked warily. "Not now." He said sternly. "Calm down." I softly said to him. "So strong." He screeched out and look towards the roof. I jerked back a little, "Buddy, you'll need to leave for a bit." Jarred said touching his shoulder reassuringly. Juniper nodded, "Right." She said. Vlad looked at juniper and mustered up a weak smile. "I'll be back..." He said leaping away towards the exit ways of the village. "I hope he'll be okay." She said looking down at the ground. Jarred weirdly smiled. "He will, this happens.." I shrug my shoulders and start to walk inside. Suddenly a loud explosion was heard , the ground under my trembled. I looked back, Juniper was holding onto Jarred. "What's going on." He said aggressively looking around. We stepped down the stairs, outside of the main building. Two guys were approaching us, "Sir! We got this, it was a written threat." He said handing a paper to Jarred. The other guy was anxiously standing rubbing his hand. I stood next to Jared and put my hand on his shoulder, trying to read it over his shoulder. He looked at me for a few seconds and then gave another look to the note. The end was signed from the spawn. Great another enemy. Another explosion was fired again. A building lit on fire. The guy who handed the note wasn't phased, I could tell something was up. In instinct, I dashed at the guy and stabbed him in the stomach with the dagger. He didn't bleed, his friend next to him screamed in fright. "Lady Irelia?!" The man I stabbed spoke.. He then smiled. "How'd you know? Even in your weak state?" He menacingly laughed and then threw me behind him. I saw the approach on the grab on me, but I couldn't react I was too wounded. "Demon..." Jarred shouted, "how didn't we sense it?!" Juniper shouted as she advanced on the demon. The other man ran away, he saw his friend get stabbed. No demon hunter runs away... He probably is one.. I thought. "Juniper..!" I shouted, "He's getting away!" I groaned. She fiercely looked up at the man running away and quickly dashed at him. She stabbed him with her claws, a dark puff of smoke came out. Revealing an armoured lizard like demon. Jarred was brawling with the first demon. I got up slowly, trying my hardest. "Guess who's back?" Vlad smiled evilly in the shadows, "oh no.." Jared looked up, off guard but he quickly reacted to another blow from the demon. Juniper looked at him smiling, off guard the demon stabbed her in the hip. Vlads evil smile went into an angry frown. He spawned in front of the demon, i was shocked and frankly juniper was too. "You swine. Don't ever touch her again!" He screamed as he grabbed the demon by it's throat and squeezed hard. Jarred finished up with the first demon, he quickly looked up panickly and then quickly put on a straight face. He ran to me and helped me up. "Sorry for being a nuisance." I grunted angrily at myself. Vlad quickly dropped the demon as it dissipated and then turned to me. "Oh the weak link." He flashed in between me and jarred. "I told you to stay in bed where you're useful" he smirked licking the blood off his lips. Another large explosion was heard at the other end of the village, "we better get going." Juniper said cutting the silence from the sound.
