lip's POV

"You're leaving me?" My voice cracked.

"Please don't say that, I-"

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"Indiana.."

I turned around as I saw a tall black man behind me.

"Who's this?" He said.

Mandy wiped her tears, "This is uh, Lip, Ian's brother."

He nods his head & kissed Mandy on her head as he headed inside.

"Goodbye Mandy," I said biting my lip, reminding myself this was my last time seeing her.

"Please, stay safe for me, okay?" I cupped her face with my hands & kissed her forehead softly.

I walked off & took out a cig from a new packet & lit it up in the dark. The tip of the cigarette glowed a dark orange.

I turned around to see Mandy walking back inside with her head down. I sighed & walked down the sidewalk when I broke down.

"Fuck." I whispered. I took a big inhale & headed inside the house.

I checked my phone to see what time it was.

11:57 pm

"Hello?" I call out.

The entire house was quiet. Too quiet until I heard a faint laughter from upstairs. I head up the steps to see everyone in Fiona's room, looking through an old photo album.

"Lip!" Everyone smiled.

"Hey!" I said taking off my jacket, sitting next to everyone as they stared at pictures of Aunt Ginger & Jack, our cousin.

"Is that our house?" Debs mentioned.

"Yep. Aunt Ginger lived in this house before us, until she passed away." I responded.

"How did she pass away?" Carl asked.

"Honestly, I don't know," I said staring at Fiona, hoping she'd give an answer.

"Neither do I. Frank never told us."

We continued flipping through the pages when Ian passed by to his room. I hesitated before getting up & headed to the room.

"Hey." I said.

He sat on the bed for a smoke, staring at me.

"She's leaving." I spoke.

"I know," He replied.

We both looked down & sighed, "How did this happen? Us, falling in love with the Milkovich siblings?"

Ian chuckled, "Have no idea."

I laughed & took the cig from him & inhaled it in & blew out puffs of smoke as I handed it back to Ian.

"I'm sorry, about Mandy & uh.."

"Don't. It's over now. She's leaving now."

"I really loved her Ian."

"I know." Ian nodded.

"I think I'm gonna head back in to campus."

"Alright, see ya man." Ian hugged me & patted my back twice before pulling away. I smirked & grabbed my backpack before heading off to take the L. (trainstation).

I jiggled the keys to the knob & twisted it, heading inside to see Ron & his girlfriend Amanda doing it on his bed.

"Jesus Christ, get a room!" I exclaim, covering my eyes.

"We already have! Until you came in." Amanda laughed, biting her lips, smirking at me.

I smirk back & replied, "I do live here, don't I?"

She swirls her ombre hair with her finger as she walked to over to give Ron a long, uncomfortable looking kiss.

She pulls away & left the room.

"She hates me, man, why's she all, happy today?"

"Her credit card's up & working again."

"Oh, wow." I chuckled.

I slip off my shirt & checked the computer going through when I had my test coming up.

"Hey, cute girl." Ron laughed.

I turn to him looking at a picture of me kissing Mandy on her forehead in bed.

"Hey, gimme that." I snatched.

He puts his hands in surrender & apologized as we both lied in our own beds.

"So who is she?" He said, breaking the silence.

"My ex. I, I loved her, & now she's leaving me. I thought she was the one, you know? She made me feel like I was something to her, and she doesn't normally do that. And now she's getting married to some abusive son of a bitch who's a construction worker! Isn't it insane? Am I going insane?"

I look over to Ron snoring.

I scoff & continued staring at the ceiling, I pulled up my phone staring at the pictures.

There was one with ice cream on my nose & she pointing & laughing about it

Us making funny faces in bed.

Her with me at my birthday celebration a while back, me blowing my candles with my cheeks red as a tomato.

I grinned at them & sighed. I bite my lips as I set my phone on the table & closed my eyes, heading off to sleep.
