"Elena Johnson! Get down here right now. You only have 5 more minutes until the bus comes!"
Ugh. School. This is by far the hardest part of my day. Leaving the solitude of my bed.
I check my phone and see I got a text from Anna, mybest friend.
A-hey have fun at hell :)
E-aww thanks for the condolences
A-no prob girl I'm jk ygg conquer the day!
I laugh, Anna is always the one who knows what to do in any situation. I'm so glad we're friends. We met in 6th grade, when I just moved to Jacksonville(Florida). At first I hated her guts because she just seemed like that girl everyone liked, and I thought she was artificial af and stuff. But after an incident I realized that she's different then what she puts on.*Crap* I look at the time it's 6:55 and the stupid buss comes at 7. I hurriedly rush to my closet regretting the fact I marathoned watched gossip girl instead of picking an outfit. I quickly put on my birthday outfit my parents bought me a cool black sun and moon shirt, high waisted jean shorts, knock off vans, and some necklace I think I got from Aunt Meghan. I honestly don't know my mom does all my shopping because she says if I did any it would consist of only Nike track shorts and free t shirts from events. Nothing ticks my mother off then me wearing freebie shirts. She says, 'we may not be first class but we hell aren't third'. So she's always on my butt with my clothes and stuff. I grab my bag which is basically empty and shove my phone in my back pocket and rush down the stairs. "Good morning my dearest mother, did you make all this for me!" I asked excitedly as I stared at the eggs, waffles, fresh strawberries, and bananas. "There were for you but since you decided to wake up late I'll give them to yours sisters" I stared at her with a horrified expression. "So I guess this is what it comes to, leaving your eldest child here to starve. I'll just be leaving. If you get a call from school you can assume it's me dying of starvation." I say as I walk somberly to the door. "I'm not letting you starve, I'm just making sure you get to the damn bus on time. Here take this pop tart it was for Liam but I'll just make another." "Ahh thank you dearest mother wish me luck as I travel through the the unknown lands known as high school. I bid you farewell" I walk out the door. Shit I hear the bus. I stuff half a pop tart in my mouth and haul ass up to my bus station which is a block away.
I got there right on time, the last person was getting on and the bus driver was about to shut the doors. "No wait!" I yelled and thankfully the buss driver opened it back up. I climbed inside and walked cautiously up the aisle. I was being very careful, trying to sit next to the perfect person. Aka my future buss buddy for the rest of the year. Finally I eye someone who looks decent enough. "Hey is this seat taken?" I ask. "Not anymore is it" he replies. "Im Lucas, Lucas Preed." He sticks out his hand for me to shake it. Which I do, because I'm trying not to be rude. "Well I'm Elena, Elena Johnson. I'm new, just moved a couple weeks ago." "Well now you have me as your wonderful friend. I should show you around some time" I think about it, do I want to? I mean I have to be careful so I don't repeat the same incident last year. "Ummm I don't know I mean I'm super busy with unpacking and everything. You know how it goes, new house and everything but thanks for the offer" He kinda looked disappointed. "Oh well then at least let me get your digits" Wait back track it up, did he just call them digits? Who does that? Maybe I should switch seats before more people get on. "Umm did you just say digits?" "Yeah, I like to use old words. You know maybe bring them back revive it." No of course I didn't know what he meant. But I'm just such a nice person. I was obliged to agree. "Yeah totally. Well here it is **********" "Thanks" "Don't mention it" "We're here welcome to Fieldlay high. Home of the Maples." Oh yay. What a blast.
Hey everyone! This is my first story ever. I hope you like it. If anyone wants to make like a cover page that would be great bc I have no artistic ability whatsoever. I'll add characters later in the story. Leave comments about anything you want to see or something.
