Chapter 18

Zeon POV

"Where's my brother at?" I asked as I entered my moms hospital room.

She had the baby this morning and right after work I drove home, picked up Tay, and we came straight to the hospital.

"He's sleeping right now." My mom said I walked over to her and kissed her cheek. I looked over to see my dad holding my sleeping brother and just smiling.

"Look at you old man. You excited to be a father again?" I asked. He chuckled and dapped me up.

"I've been ready. He looks just like you did when you were born. Ugly as fuck." My dad said then busted out laughing.

"Shit, I ain't ugly no more. I could pull any bitch."

"You can do what Zeon?" Tay asked, giving me a stank look.

"I said I can grant you any wish baby." I said then rubbed the back of my neck.

"Mhm. Keep it up Zeon and the next thing you pull will be my foot from up your ass." Tay threatened me before starting a conversation with my mom.

"See what I live with?" I whispered.

"I know how you feel son." My dad shook his head.

"What's the babies name?" Tay asked as she walked over to me and sat in my lap. I simultaneously placed one hand on her stomach.

"Lyfe Taylor Bello."

"Awww that's so cute! I can't wait for when him and Julissa have play dates!" Tayeisha squealed.

"Yeah, the only nigga she's gonna be playing with." I mumbled.

I don't know why but the closer it gets to Julissa coming, the more over protective I'm becoming. I don't want to be the stereotypical dad that hides their daughter from the world and doesn't let her do anything. That's how shit like disobedience and disrespect happens.

"Baby we should babysit!" Tay squealed.

"When he's one then sure thing. I don't want to babysit a baby that's just gonna sleep all day and only be awake to eat and get changed." I said.

"You do realize that, that's what Julissa will right?" My mom asked.

"I know that. My child is another story. I'll stay up day and night to take care of my child. My brother is another story." I said.

"Well, we'll babysit anytime Mrs. Bello." Tayeisha said making me glare at her. I hope she knows that only she will be watching Lyfe.

"Anyways, how are y'all doing? Y'all getting along now? Did you find your ring Tayeisha?" My dad asked. Tay groaned and rolled her eyes.

"I'm in the process of finding it." She said making me scoff.

"This is interesting. I hope you find that ring sweetheart." My mom said.

"I will Mrs. Bello. I have an idea where it is so I'm not worried." Tayeisha said making me raise my eyebrows in shock.

"You ain't worried? Shit, you should be." I said.

"So if I don't find it, then what?" Tayeisha asked.

"I don't know and I don't really want to find out so just find the ring."

"I can't believe that you're really pressed about a ring. A piece of jewelry."

"I've explained this already so I won't waste my breath. Nice to know you value something I spent a thousands of dollars on for you." I said with frown.
