Chapter 25

Zeon POV
~1 Week Later~

I parked my car in the parking lot of the warehouse before getting out and locking the door. I got more work than I really want, and all I really want to do is lay up with my wife.

Freddy been gone for the whole week on a family vacation with his girls and my ass been having to be here doing this drug shit everyday. It's tiring as fuck and Freddy definitely getting paid more after he gets back home.

"Yo!" I yelled when I walked in and one of my dogs ran up to me. These killer ass dogs that not supposed to be unsupervised. "Hey boy." I bent down and rubbed Zeus's head. I usually keep them at the trap house north of here, but Scrappy got sick so I had them brought over here.

I continued to walk through the house and Zeus walked right next to me. Something was wrong in here and I'm not sure what. I don't like it though. I would hate to have to kill somebody.

"Aye, you over there." I called out to one of the young workers I saw. He looked shook while walking over to me.

"Y-yes boss? I didn't know you came in." He said sounding very nervous. I looked at him up and down, then looked straight at his face but he wouldn't look me in the eyes.

"Yeah, I'm here. What the fuck going on in here." I asked, looking around me. People were here as usually, but they was on their best fucking behavior. "Hold up, why the fuck are you here? You got school nigga." I pushed his head.

"I was hoping to get more work. Times are kinda tough and I'm just tryna help out my moms more." He shrugged.

"Your moms know you're selling for me?" I asked. He shook his head. "She assumes you're in school, so be there. Go right now, and come back here after school. We'll talk about some things." I said. He nodded and rushed away.

I walked to the back and opened the back door. I looked around and it was just people gambling and smoking. Some people gave me a head nod and I returned it. I still feel like something wrong.

I walked over to my office and Zeus got excited and started barking and jumping on the door. I reached down and pulled him back by his collar. I opened my door and let him run inside. I walked in and closed the door behind me. I sat down behind my desk and let out a deep sigh.

"I miss my girls." I mumbled to myself. I pulled out my phone and went to my photo gallery. I looked at the photos of Julissa I took this morning and smiles. She had on the cutest little Gucci outfit. Like clockwork Tay called me.

"I was just thinking about you. Wassup?" I said, answering the phone.

"You busy right now?" She asked. Her voice sounded shaky, making me more alert.

"I'm at the warehouse. What's wrong?" I asked her.

"I'm out with Kimberly, and were with the kids. I go get Juju's pacifier from the car and my windows are busted and tires slashed. My whole car fucking keyed. I don't know who did it." She said. I frowned and stood up from my chair.

"The fuck? Go y'all safe? Fuck, I should've never let you go out with someone watching. Fuck!" I yelled, rushing out of the warehouse. I'm beyond pissed.

"Calm down Z-"

"I'm not about to fucking calm down. Someone's following you, and you don't get that."

"I get that Zeon! I just know how you get with this stuff. We called James and he's on his way to the restaurant we're at." She said.

"Send me your location, I'm on my way." I said then hung up.
