Isaac POV:

I wake up earlier than normal and jump out of bed. I need to prove to Courtney that I'm a responsible adult who can handle being a father. I check in the living room to find her still fast asleep on the couch. I figured he would be after all she had to drink last night.

I get the coffee going, which I never really drank until Courtney started living with me. Now I use it as a way to spend time with her in the morning. I hear a small noise from the kid's room and glance at Court to make sure she is still asleep. Today is all about showing her I'm responsible. I walk into their room and see Bella beginning to open her eyes. And since she's my child of course as soon as her eyes open her mouth does to. I can tell she's about to start bawling so I rush to her and pick her up. She blinks rapidly as if trying to figure out what happened.

"Hey baby girl, good morning." I coo at her and she looks conflicted as if deciding on whether she want to cry or laugh. Surprisingly she just stays quiet and looks at me. I kiss her on the cheek and look over to Jackson whose still asleep.

"I guess we're gonna have a bit of alone time this morning sweetie. Does that sound good?" She nods still completely expressionless. I'm sure when she's older she's just going to be a joy to be around in the morning. She must get that from Courtney, because from observing her for the last few days she doesn't really wake up until about 15 minutes after her eyes are open and even then she's grumpy.

I set her in her high chair and go to the fridge to grab some yogurt and I hear rustling coming from the couch. And by rustling I mean aggravated moaning. Sounds like someone has a hangover. I see her sit up, her hairs a complete mess and from the looks of things she forgot to take her makeup off last night. I suppress the urge to take a picture and hand Bella her yogurt.

"Morning." I say brightly making her flinch.

"Is there any way to turn the light brightness down a bit?" She says blinking rapidly and rubbing her eyes.

"Dear, the lights aren't on that's called sunlight." I say making her shoot me a glare. God if I wasn't already on thin ice with her I would take a picture and use it for blackmail.

"Jesus I feel like I've been hit by a train." She says stretching her arms above her head and making a hilarious face.

"You look like it too, are you sure you weren't actually hit by a train last night?" I ask making her shoot me another glare before stomping to the bathroom.

"Your mommy is a lovely woman." I say in a baby voice to Bella making her smile a tiny bit.

"I can hear you!" Courtney shouts from the bathroom, this makes Bella even giggle a tiny bit before returning to her yogurt. When Courtney returns she's in sweats and holding Jackson who seems to be the happiest person in the room at the moment.

"God I am never going drinking with Victoria again she says after both the kids are situated and happy and she has her head in her arms on the table.

"Really? She doesn't strike me as a big drinker." I say confused as to what she is getting at.

"Yes, but she makes you want to drink... a lot." I chuckle at her antics and begin fixing me and her breakfast as she seems to curse the dining table and periodically wipes food off the kids' faces.

"See kids take this as a lesson, alcohol is bad." I say pointing to Court who currently looks like she's holding back holding back vomit. Courtney doesn't acknowledge me as she continues to glare at the table. I finish making breakfast and put a plate in front of her, which she just picks at.

"Did you have fun last night?" I ask and she shrugs.

"As much fun as you can have with the wicked witch of the west bragging about how much money her husband has." She says.

"They aren't even that rich don't let her full you, I mean yeah they do well for themselves, but not well enough for him to be able to support her spending habits." I say making her smile a bit to herself.

"I genuinely do feel bad for her though, she seems so insecure." She says her smile disappearing being replaced by a frown.

"Oh she definitely is, but that's just because she bases her self-worth on how pretty and rich she is." I say making her shake her head still frowning.

"I just don't get those kind of people." I can't help but smile at how genuine she is.

"Why are you smiling?" She asks turning her head to the side.

"Nothing just happy right now." She gives me a questioning look and returns to tearing apart her food.
