Six hours. Six excruciating hours with my annoying siblings was like going through hell. Pure torture.'It's a short ride' my mom had told me earlier.
Short ride my butt. She wasn't the one in a car with three annoying teenage brothers, a sister who is obviously bipolar and a small brother who manages to get everything with just one damn look.
I'm certain we would have arrived earlier if Matty hadn't stopped at every damn candy store we came upon, all because he and Drew couldn't take a little pout and puppy dog eyes.
So we finally arrived at our new home.
After parking the car, we all filed out, Toby the first one to excitedly stumble towards our mother, with the candy trailing all behind him.
I felt a hand gently squeezing my shoulder with slight reassurance.
"How does it look?"My father questioned.
My gaze travelled around before it landed on the house that was three levels high. To say it was big was a huge understatement. For three levels, it was quite big.
"It doesn't look too bad."I announced truthfully.
From the furrowed eyebrows my father was giving me, I knew it came out more as a question that an answer.
"Loosen up."He chuckles."It's big enough to fit us all in without bumping heads like we usually do."
I stared at the house before glancing to him as he patted my shoulder.
"Besides, your mother and I had agreed to give you an extra room for your equipment."
His words caught my attention as I looked at the house.
Maybe I should be more positive for once.
I had been too engrossed in staring at the house that I hadn't realised my father had already descended up the front porch and disappeared into the house.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard obnoxiously loud voices yelling words of warning and alert.
"Hey there!"Someone yelled.
"Watch out!"Another followed.
I hastily turned around with a moment of slight panic. Right in my line of view, a football flew towards me with the speed of a cheetah.
As a reflex, my arms stretched out, my hands cupping itself together. Not long after had the rough skin of the ball grazed my fingertips to land safely within my grasp.
My fingertips tingled and my arms ached at the sudden movement.
The footsteps that had sounded before, had now came to an abrupt shock. For the first time since I arrived, I searched the area which had been quite lively.
My eyes landed on a group of boys, who seemed to have a lack of good aiming, my orbs widened a fraction. Five gorgeous guys, with equally baffled expressions stared back at me.
My eyes narrowed itself back to its usual manner as I held my hand out, the ball neatly situated at the end of my palm. The guy closest to me lifted a slightly shaky hand to grasp the ball, but feeling a little daring, I threw it off to the far end where another lad stood.
When the ball landed straight into his stomach, I realised I may have caught him a it off gaurd. An apologetic look overtook my features as I asked him if he was okay.
I always felt daring at the wrong moment.
A few profanities escaped his scolding lips as he bent over to do a double take.
