"Hey."Immediately recognising the voice, I decided to ignore it. I chewed ignorantly on my fries as I gazed in the opposite direction.
A poke injected itself into my left side but even that I ignored.
"Hey kitten."The voice persisted.
Poke. Poke. Poke.
This time the poking went to my cheeks that I childishly blew out.
"Aww. Is the little kitten mad?"I knew he was teasing me now.
Camden plopped himself beside me, proceeding to poke my leg. I moved my leg away as I shifted a bit to my left, half expecting him to follow.
"I'm sorry."He pleads."I didn't mean any harm by it."
I simply ignored his silly attempts to get me to talk to him. Not only is he one he'll of an annoying lad but also a really big jerk too.
If he doesn't have a poking obsession then I don't know what you call this.
During our history class together, Camden managed to make me look like a complete fool. He had continuously called me by that horrid nickname while continuously poking my leg.
See? Poking obsession.
And then I went and yelled at him to stop being so damn annoying. Obviously I didn't just whisper yell like I intended too.
Mrs. Higgins probably hates me now.
"Kitten."Camden whines, his tone laced with exasperation.
"Kitten?"A surprised voice asks.
Both mine and Camdens heads snapped up to see Stacy standing at the back of him, her hands on her hips and her perfect eyebrows raised unbelievably high.
"And yet I'm still waiting for my nickname."She says.
"Nothing goes well with your name Stacy."Camden replies trying to make it seem like it isn't a big deal.
She huffed out but instead of showing her anger, Stacy leaned down, wrapping her arms around Camden from behind.
"Why don't you walk me outside?"She suggests.
"Not right now Stacy."
It was a bit interesting to watch the way Stacy got angry at how Camden hadn't acknowledged her properly. She glared at me when a snicker escaped my lips.
"Please baby."She pleaded.
And that's where I draw the line. Now she's just annoying.
"I promise I'll come over tonight after practice."Camden offers shutting the Blondie up.
"I wonder what that means."Ethan smirks from across me wiggling his eyebrows in the process.
I don't even wanna know, my friend.
I had been too busy laughing at Ethan to notice Stacy stalking away with the clack of her heels still resounding after her.
Camden slumped down onto the table with a deep sigh."Someone remind me to tell the team we're supposedly staying later."
"Are you getting bored of Ms. Martin?"Ethan asks formally before smirking."I wonder why Mr. Anders."
And now I want to know.
Feeling a bit sorry for Camden I placed my hands on his back and gently rubbed it, comfort being the emphasis to my actions.
"Aww."I began with a slight baby tone."Is there trouble in paradise, Mr. Anders?"
Camden lifted his upper body to glare at me. I watched cautiously as he lifted his arms and gently shoved me to the side. I laughed at his actions as I half stumbled off my chair.
Soon enough, had Camden joins in on my laughter with the rest of the gang.
That's when a thought had struck me.
Maybe school wouldn't be so bad after all.
------
I take it back. I take it all back.
School was horrible. Terrible. Exhausting.
As I layed on my bed, exhausted from all the homework, my mind drifted off to today's events. It had started normal but ended really badly.
All in the form of a person known at Stacy.
I pulled my satchel put of my gym locker and sighed. But just as I was going to turn, a flash of blonde had me somewhat pinned against the metal of the locker.
"Stat away from Camden."Stacy threatened."He's mine."
"I don't want Camden love."I replied to her pushing her off of me."I don't want anything from or with him."
"Camden thinks he knows you but he doesn't."She said."And I'll make sure that he will hate you for who you are."
"For who I am?"I asked dumbfounded."Love. I don't care who you think I am."
I pushed her further away before taking my leave.
"Just stay away!"She yelled after me."Or else."
Did she really consider me as a threat to her relationship with a guy who I've met no more than a day or two ago? Honestly does she really think I'm going to take away the guy she's going out with.
I heaved out a sigh. It was completely unnecessary to be thinking about both Camden and Stacy.
And with that I thought about my promise.
My eyes had just drooped closed when as usual a knock on my balcony door had sounded.
Jeez. I can never catch a break.
"You just have to have the most wonderful timing in a lifetime eh?"I asked Camden feeling a little annoyed."Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed."He smirks.
I narrowed my eyes at him."Funny. Because if I remember correctly a certain blonde is always disturbing me from my precious slumber."
"I wonder who this blonde is?"He places his hand under his chin in a thoughtful manner.
I picked the pillow up off of my chair by the door and tossed it at him. He caught it effortlessly as he laughed. He threw the pillow back my way and I caught it with a glare.
"What did you want?"I finally asked feeling a shiver go through me at the chilly air.
"Just some company."He replied.
I threw the pillow back at him, catching him of gaurd this time. It hit him in the face before tumbling to the ground.
"Seriously?!"I exclaimed."You've got 7 freaking brothers downstairs!"
"Would you stop that!"He yells back at me referring to the pillow I had thrown again.
I crossed my arms over my chest as I glared.
"Would you stop interrupting my sleep?!"I yelled back.
I heard him mutter something under his breath as he picked up the pillow and placed it on his own chair. I caught the words Jeez woman. And anger issues.
I'll show him anger issues.
"Okay okay."He says putting his hands up in surrender."Give me your homework."
"Why?"I ask.
"Obviously so I can copy it."
And I almost exploded again but was cut off by his laughter. I closed my open mouth and looked at him annoyed.
"What now?"I asked with gritted teeth.
"Messing with you is just so fun."He snickers before rushing away with a good night.
Fun my ass. He's a dead man when I see him in the morning.
