It took us the rest of the day to paint my room.
It's ten o'clock, and none of us has eaten yet.
"I'm going to get some water, does anybody want anything?"
"Lemonade," Dylan says.
I look at Harry. "Same," he says.
I go downstairs to get the drinks, and realize I don't know where my phone is.
I guess I left it on the kitchen counter. I pour the drinks, and look around the counter.
I look up to find Harry in front of me.
"Is this what you're looking for?" Harry asks holding out my phone.
"What are you doing with my phone?" I say with a sharp edge to my voice.
"What I want to know is what you told your father." Harry demands.
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't act like you don't know." He states firmly. "I know you told him something. Now tell me what you told him."
I stand there and cross my arms. "I'm not moving until you give me back my phone."
"Good," Harry says. "Because I'm not moving until you answer my question."
My phone rings and Harry looked down at the caller id. Right then and there, I snatched my phone out of his hands and made a run for it. I had no idea where I was going, but the second I was clear of my surroundings, I found myself outside of Emma's house. I had no idea I was cape able of running that fast. I turn to look at Emma's front door and find Harry standing there.
"When did you learn how to run that fast?" Harry asks.
I don't answer him. Instead, I take off running. I need to go somewhere so I can have at least a few seconds to find out what he was talking about.
It's pretty dark out, but I can see clearly where I'm heading.
I'm in the cemetery in front of my mother's tomb.
"Now is not the time for bringing back the memories," I said to myself.
I used the time I had before Harry found me to go through my phone. I found a message from my dad.
From Dad:
"Why? Did you find out her secret? You have to tell me everything you know. We will have a one-on-one conversation when I get back."
And just like that, my phone slipped from my hand, into Harry's hands.
"You're not too good at this game," he said.
"I'm not playing a game."
"Well now you know what you wanted to know. So now answer my question. What did you tell your father?"
I look at Harry with a glare in my eyes. I turn around and instantly depression washes over me because I realize I'm still at my mother's tomb stone.
"It will all be ok," Harry says putting his arm around me. "What do you say we have this conversation some other time and head back to your house before Dylan realizes we're gone?"
"Race you back!" I say trying to sound enthusiastic.
The next thing I knew, I was back in the kitchen and I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I grabbed all three drinks and walked back to my room.
I was stopped by Dylan halfway up the stairs. He still had that sad look on his face from this afternoon.
"Dylan? Are you okay?"
