"Bella!" Emma practically yells my name as I go into my walk in closet.

"Hey, chill, I'm right here."

"Try this on." Emma throws some clothes at me without turning around.

I look at everything she handed me and say, "what are you picking out? Why such fancy clothes? It doesn't have to be so formal, we're just going to hang out. Probably at a park or something. I don't know, but it doesn't require me to look like I'm going to a ball."

Emma laughs. "Oh, Bella. You don't know anything about dates, do you?"

I step inside the bathroom which is just a few feet away from where Emma is raiding the closet. "It's not a date."

"Wow Bells, you really don't know guy talk. When they say they want to hang out, they're hinting they like you!"

"Or," I step out to show her the royal blue sparkly dress I put on. "You can actually just hang out and be friends."

"Nonsense," she turned around and gasped. "Oh my gosh! You look so pretty! We have to get a picture for instagram!"

"Okay," I smile. "But you're going to be in the picture with me."

"Hang on babe, I have to put on one of your beautiful outfits first."

I laugh and pick out a white dress that has three-quarter length sleeves with blue roses on it. "Here," I hand the dress to Emma, "put this on."

She changed faster than I did, twirled around, and posed like she's at a fashion competition. Emma can pull off literally almost anything. I'm jealous of her for that.

They say you shouldn't be jealous of your best friend, but I really am. "Em, you look so pretty. Seriously, share!"

"Oh be quiet miss perfection." She laughs and steps back into my bathroom. "Hey, where's your straightener at?"

"Top drawer, I believe. Plug in my bubble wand for me?"

"That's the curler with the weird circles, right?"

"Yeah," I say walking to my bed. I pick up my phone and head back to Emma who is nearly done straightening her beach blonde hair. Everyone assumes she's dyed her hair, but it's her natural hair color.

"Almost ready for that picture?" Emma asks.

"Yeah, just give me two minutes," I say switching my phone for the bubble wand. "Let me just wave up my hair."

I divide my hair into six equal sections and wrap it around the wand.

"What are you doing?" Emma asks.

"Instead of making my hair look super curly, I'm trying to make it look wavy," I answer.

We finished up our hair and makeup and Emma took her phone to get a picture.

"Smile!" She said.

Just then the power went out.

It's still the middle of the afternoon, so we can see everything, but the next thing we knew, the bathroom door shut on us. We look at eachother, then I reached for the handle.

I jiggled the handle, but it didn't budge. Someone locked us in here.

"It won't open!" I say panicking.

"What do you mean it won't open?"

"I mean, it won't open!"

Emma pushed me aside and jiggled the handle. She turns to me and hugs me. "Why won't it open? And who closed the door? I'm afraid of the dark!"
