Perries POV

I walked down the blurry streets of London. I was on my way to my favorite coffee shop that I went to almost every day. My jean jacket was blowing behind my long ombré frizzy hair, what a perfect day. I was trying to enjoy my last day of summer break by relaxing.I turned the corner of the street and opened the heavy glass door. The bell, "dinged," as I stepped inside. I stepped over to the counter seeing a new face.

"Hello welcome to The Brew what can I help you with?" a worker asked me his accent heavy and low.

That was weird I had never seen him before here. I came here so often the entire staff knew me and I knew them.

I shrugged the thought off, "um I will take a small Carmel coffee," I stated to him as I reached for my credit card.

I handed him my credit card and waited for him to slide it. I looked up at the worker and for a moment his eyes locked on mine. We stood there for what felt like forever. Was i supposed to blink or smile or kinda just stare?

I never really liked looking people in the eyes because then they would look me back too. They might find all of my secrets in there.

But this person was different he had soft green eyes that were so beautful.
I could have stood there all day looking at him until a person behind me shook me.

"Pardon, me but mam!" she shouted. I awkwardly waved to the man before scurrying to the left to make room for the lady.

The worker blushed and gave me a faint smile before disappearing to the back. Before he turned around I happened to catch a glimpse at his name tag. "PJ," was printed onto the tag and pinned upon his chest. I was left there thinking about the mysterious worker, but I noticed his eyes. His eyes... they were stunning.

The worker called Pj returned with my drink. "Thanks," I replied with a smile. I turned around and sat myself in a big chair.I just kinda looked around the shop until I got bored.

Straight ahead of me was PJ who was helping more people as they came in. Under the counter were so many sweets that I had never seen before. They all looked so good!

My stupid anxious self began to wonder dumb stuff like, "how many calories are in one of those cakes? What about that coffee?"

Sicken by the thought of gaining anymore weight I rose from the soft chair to through the cup away.

I was about to toss it when I noticed something on the side of the drink. My hands were stained with black marker too? It said, "ring me some time if you get the chance," then a phone number. I put the number in my contacts before I threw the cup away. Before I left I turned around seeing my he was looking at me.

He turned around quickly when he had found out I had caught him. I laughed to myself then made my way back to my flat.

Outside it looked as if the sun and birds had his away to prepare for another London showers. I didn't have my umbrella guess I would have to be fast. Soon the droplets became faster, and faster, until I was soaked to the bone.

My once dry outfit was now clinging tightly around my tiny frame.

As I ran along side all the people outside I knew that I wouldn't forget those green eyes.

************Time Jump**********

I opened the doors to the flat my dad and I shared.

The flat was little but it was home. My dad laid on the ripped up sofa snoring loudly with a beer bottle in one hand. I quickly shut the door trying to not make a sound, but the constant squishing of my sneakers didn't help.
