"Absolutely not!" I roared and crossed my arms over my chest. "Why? It's just one measly soul." "Because as much as I hate him I will not allow you to take Jeff's soul." I briefly questioned what Jeff gave up to get The Observer to work for him. As a demon, The Observer needs souls to survive. Meaning that if you ever get a demon to do something for you you're most likely to lose your soul. "Hm, even when you're trying to kill him your big brother instincts come forth." I rolled my eyes at that. "I'm not his big brother anymore." "You say that but you can still feel the protectiveness you felt back then. You can remember all the times that you smiled and laughed with your little brother." I shook my head. "No!" I yelled in fury. "No, that's not us anymore. He's not my little brother anymore. He's a monster. A sick and twisted monster." The Observer watched me with a malicious grin on his face. "Your soul sounds deliciously wild right now." I froze when he said those words. "You sicko." I muttered. "Trying to wear my soul thin so you could take it." He shrugged and looked to the sick girl on her bed. "Her time is running low. What is your decision?" "What's another offer?" I asked and he put on a thinking look. "Well since I highly doubt Jeff will keep his end of our deal..." He trailed off and I sighed. "What was your deal?" I asked, my patience wearing thin with him. Gliding back onto the wall The Observer started moving to the shadows. "You just have to protect me from the Slenderman. I may have eaten the soul of one of his dear proxies and he's been ever so sour since. But, you know him and his proxies." I gritted my teeth knowing that if I did ever go up against the Slenderman it would result in my immediate death. "No, no deal. Now leave us be." I commanded and watched him fade into the shadows. "Such a shame. Your soul smells just like the twitching one's did. And it was delicious." I shuddered as the air around us became noticeably lighter. Taking one final look at the girl I sighed, knowing what my decision was.
